The itinerary has been designed for keen walkers, as the ascent is non-technical, but involves some easy scrambling and snow slopes. The views from the summit are amazing across the mountains to Marrakech to the north, and the start of the Sahara to the south. All around are the jagged peaks of the High Atlas stretching as far as you can see in every direction.

Day 1: Marrakech -- Imlil --- Azib n Tamsoult

Transfer from Marrakech to theAtlas mountains:1:30 minute drive toImlil(1740m), famousstarting point formountaineeringtrips.Discoverthe area andhikeup to Tizi-n-Mezzik mountain pass (2489m). Enjoy the magic view ofImlil area andAzzaden valley.Field lunch prepared by our cook in the middle of a jeneper forest. After lunch,walkdown the valley of Azzaden to the summer village ofTamssoult(2250m). Overnight in therefugeor camp. 5h walking.

Day 2: Azib n Tamsoult - Agelzim Mountain pass - Toubkal Base camp

Today involves a fairly stiff climb out of the Azzadene Valley to the Toubkal Refuge via Ighouliden waterfalls and over the Aguelzim Mountain pass at 3,560m. Lunch will be taken with spectacular views over the Atlas Mountain Range. Overnight in the Toubkal Refuge (Niltner Hut or Mouflon ) where youll likely be sharing a bunk room with other trekkers tackling Toubkal early the next morning. 7hours walk

Day 3: Toubkal base camp - Toubkal Summit - Toubkal base camp -- Imlil -- Marrakech

Up early for the climb up Toubkal (4,167m) from where, clouds allowing, youll have wonderful views over the Atlas Range and the Sahara Desert, then a long way back down past the refuge and the well-worn path back to Imlil. This is a fairly long day with 8-9 hours of trekking, involving 900m up then almost 2,500m back down to Imlil! You will normally be dropped off at around 5.00pm in Marrakech
