Picked up at my hotel at 720 am but on the wrong tour bus probably because I changed days. But they made it right by transferring me to Gabriel’s bus. Traveled through a Mayan village, got to first site and our free lockers. Then canoed to the zip line, zip-lining over the canopy and lake, hiking through the jungle, a Sauman blessing ceremony, repelling into a cenote, suspension bridge, lunch, tequila tasting, shopping, and finally Coba. Gabriel was our guide. Not only did he share tons of knowledge about the Mayan culture, beliefs, and traditions; he also made us feel like family. Getting to know each person and their life. Gabriel was kind, fun, sincere and smart. And the excursion was better than I ever expected.

The tour itself was excellent. Where my disappointment lies is with the purchase of the photos from the tour. The pictures of myself and my family looked amazing, so I purchased the pictures for $110 American. When I got home and opened the jump drive, there was not a single picture of me on it. I was beyond disappointed. After finally managing to contact the company they were able to find a few pictures of me, but not the ones that I had seen on the computer screen the day of the tour. Very disappointed. Would not rebook with this company.

My friend and I did the Coba Mayan Encounter. Irvin was our guide for the day and we couldn't have been happier with him. He was super knowledgeable and you can tell that he's very passionate about sharing the culture with others. He truly made an already amazing experience of exploring the Mayan heritage just that much better. We lucked out because the other group that was supposed to go with us cancelled, so we essentially had a private tour. We stayed at an Airbnb in Tulum, and their pickup location was pretty close to us, so it was very convenient not having to drive to Playa del Carmen or Cancun in order to go on the tour. We were very impressed with how meticulous everyone was about COVID-19 safety precautions. The tour itself was an unforgettable experience and not to mention, very active – canoeing, zip lining, rappelling into a cenote, and lots of walking. I'm an active person, so it was a breeze for me, but I don't think it was at all strenuous to where someone who was not active couldn't handle it. I would just suggest to make sure you wear the proper shoes, as you're walking through the jungle (and thus, uneven surfaces). We would definitely look to book a tour with Alltournative on our next trip to Mexico!

This Coba Mayan tour was filled with incredible nonstop activities. We first arrived at the Mayan village to canoe, then we did the first of two ziplines, took a hike, walked on a suspension bridge to the second zipline, observed a Mayan ceremony, rappelled down to swim in a cenote & ate a delicious Mayan lunch before going to Coba. Irvin our guide & driver was terrific! You can tell he enjoys his job & wants to ensure you learn about the Mayan history. After a guided tour with him, we rented bikes to explore Coba on our own before heading back to our resorts. It was an amazing adventure!

Oh my goodness could not have had a better day!!!! Our guide Sarah was absolutely FANTASTIC, she was so knowledgeable about everything and patient with anyone’s questions. Will definitely be booking another trip and asking for her as our guide. The sights were gorgeous and the Mayan food, wow! So much packed into one day I cannot begin to detail it all but this trip is an absolute must! Gracias Sarah!

We had a great Mayan adventure on the “Maya Cobá” excursion. This was a full day that started with our excellent tour guide Guillermo “Mo” Sanchez picking us up around 730 am from our hotel in a comfortable air conditioned bus. After about a 90 minute drive, we arrived at the village of Pac Chen, where we warmly greeted by the locals. Clean bathrooms and lockers were available for us to use on arrival. We walked through a pristine nature preserve, canoed across a beautiful lagoon, and then took two thrilling ziplines across the lagoon. The culmination was rappelling down into an inviting warm water cenote where we floated in inner tubes. All gear was provided and was in very good condition for us to use. Throughout this experience, Guillermo was very attentive to our safety and educated us on Mayan culture. After climbing up a rope ladder out of the cenote, we then walked a short distance to a “palapa” (Mayan hut) where a wonderfully flavorful authentic Mayan meal was served, including lovely vegetarian options. We then took part in a short but potent blessing by the village shaman. The next stage of our journey was traveling via bus to the ancient city of Cobá, where we had the option to walk/ride a bike/take a Mayan taxi for about a mile or so to reach “Nohuc Mul”, the tallest pyramid in the Yucatán. Once we climbed to the top, we had breathtaking views of the jungle canopy. We were very fortunate to have Guillermo as our guide. He has a great sense of humor, and tremendous respect for and knowledge of Mayan culture. He was very supportive and made us feel very safe. We cannot recommend him highly enough! We will be back again to experience more wonderful adventures with Alltournative.

Had a GREAT time on our tour today! Our tour guide, Luis, made the entire experience so much fun! The cenote and zip line were great, even as a first-timer! Additionally, the food was perfect! Along with all the fun activities we were treated to a local, fresh meal. The tortillas (they are hand made) and the lentil soup were amazing! Note: The guides from the village will take pictures for you and have them available to purchase before you leave for Coba. Coba was also great and (in my opinion) much better than Tulum. It was fun to climb to the top of the main temple and many of the structures are in good shape. Plan for a full day of activities but they are well worth your time! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

We booked this tour with Tui and it was fabulous. Our guide Alex was very friendly, informative & educational! We visited Coba Maya which was amazing and then swam in a cenote. Lunch was included which was delicious. The Mayan people were friendly and the whole trip was really interesting. Give it a try!
