Exploring Bangkok by bicycle is an exciting way to experience Thailands capital. The half-day tour shows you a part of Bangkok that youll never see from the sky train, tuk-tuk or taxi ! A part where there is almost no traffic, just narrow streets and backyards. Bangkok as you have never imagined !
During the first part of the tour we see stand alone villas, luxurious apartment buildings, townhouses and in between shops, companies and stall factories. First stop is at one of the many hidden local communities in Bangkok. This area of Bangkok, some call it a slum, but the local people call it 'home'. The people who live here belong to the poorest people in Bangkok, but they are friendly, polite, generous and give us a warm welcome every day.
Walk through this small community and stop at the slum kindergarten. The poorest children receive education here while their parents are working. Visiting slum areas makes you remind that life is not that easy for everyone.
Next, continue your bicycle adventure in the 'City of Angels' and make another stop at a sweatshop where they make t-shirts for the local market before arriving at the pier. Here you'll board a typical Thai long-tail boat to cross the mighty Chao phraya river, the River of Kings.
At the other side of the river you'll find yourselves back in the 'Jungle' or the 'Green Lung' of Bangkok, a very green area just a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Here you'll cycle on elevated pathways through lush vegetation and in the shade of coconut palms and banana trees.
Halfway through the tour you will stop at a local restaurant where you will be provide with a small Thai meal.
After lunch, visit a very old non-touristy Buddhist temple where the guide can tell you everything about Buddhism.
Last but not least, make a stop at a small open-air Muay Thai (boxing) school. Then, head back to the heart of Bangkok where your tour finishes.
Note: The itinerary is subject to change, since schools and local shops may be closed during the weekend, school holidays or national holidays.

Overview
Colors of Bangkok, our popular half day cycling in Bangkok tour. Biking in Bangkok's green lung gives the participants the feeling they are miles out of town yet, the hustle & bustle of the town is very near. Bangkok as you have never imagined!
The first part of our journey is on Rama III Road itself where our office/lounge is located but only for a few minutes because the ferryboat to cross the river isnt far away.
At the other side of the river we find ourselves in Bangkrachao sub-district. Bangkokians also call this area The Green Lung of Bangkok or the Bangkoks green jungle. It is the biggest & greenest area near the city.
Here we cycle on elevated pathways through lush vegetation and in the shade of coconut palms and banana trees. The first stop in Bangkrachao is a local, non-touristy Buddhist temple with a history dating 700 years back. There's much more to tell you about Colors of Bangkok but above all it will be an unforgettable experience for young and old! Join us

Got to see the parts of Bangkok that the tourists generally do not visit. The tour included a ferry ride across the river & lunch. The ride does mean cycling along some roadways but the Thai drivers & motorcyclists are quite considerate of other road users.

Had the most amazing insight into another side of Bangkok, with a very knowledgable guide Oliver and Fearn(?) who also was our own personal photographer! Not overly exertion at all so suitable for all abilities, and we stopped for a light lunch too (all included). Great experience and couldn’t recommend it enough! Fun team in the office too, thanks for a super morning.

Highlights: excellent local knowledge. Vegan / vegetarian friendly. Safety conscious. Friendly. We had a really great time on this tour. Our guide Bee was excellent at guiding us around the maze of streets and paths. He was very conscious of our safety and really wanted to help us understand the culture of the area and of Bangkok. I've been to Bangkok before (and on tours) and learnt many new things - which as a teacher I really appreciated! The meal was lovely in the local restaurant. As two (plant based vegetarians) Bee made sure we were able to order a dish that was suitable to our needs and communicated with the kitchen. He even helped us with our taxi on the way home. Would definitely book again with them!

Highly recommend for anyone who wants a different side of bangkok. We cycled on the main road (safe), down small tiny alleys in between houses, into and around the village. It was an eye opener. Only tip: cycle slowly and take in the sights Im a noob cyclist and i survived w 0 scratches. Special thanks to both Tor!

Great experience this biking tour in a quiet part of Bangkok, crossing the river with our bikes. We went through the jungle, visited a temple and a floating market and a Thai boxing training place. Our guide was very friendly and had a lot to tell. Good bikes as well.

This was an absolutely brilliant cycle tour. We had a superb guide Tor who was very informative and adapted the speed as necessary. It gave us a unique insight into parts of Bangkok rarely seen by Western travellers. Highly recommend this for getting off the beaten track and seeing real life in Bangkok. The bikes were new and very comfortable.

A great insight into lots of aspects of Bangkok - local communities, temples, boxing and a beautiful green park. Lunch was delicious (I had a vegan Pad Thai with tofu) and we were constantly offered drinks for refreshment. I would definitely recommend this tour, but just beware some paths were very narrow so you have to be a decent cyclist to keep on track!

It was nice to get away from the city. The tour guide, V., was great. The path was pretty narrow with a lot of turns so you need to have good bike handling skills. Would not recommend for anyone under 16. We stopped for a meal in the beginning of the tour so don't eat before. The local restaurant had really good food. Bring water so you don't get dehydrated.

What an amazing experience with 2 fantastic guides Prayuth (Tommy) and Noi, showing some of the most magnificent real Traditional aspects of Bangkok and Thailand, with a great relaxing traditional Thai lunch and a trip through the happiest "slum" area you'll come across
