Overview

Colors of Bangkok, our popular half day cycling in Bangkok tour. Biking in Bangkok's green lung gives the participants the feeling they are miles out of town yet, the hustle & bustle of the town is very near. Bangkok as you have never imagined!
The first part of our journey is on Rama III Road itself where our office/lounge is located but only for a few minutes because the ferryboat to cross the river isnt far away.
At the other side of the river we find ourselves in Bangkrachao sub-district. Bangkokians also call this area The Green Lung of Bangkok or the Bangkoks green jungle. It is the biggest & greenest area near the city.
Here we cycle on elevated pathways through lush vegetation and in the shade of coconut palms and banana trees. The first stop in Bangkrachao is a local, non-touristy Buddhist temple with a history dating 700 years back. There's much more to tell you about Colors of Bangkok but above all it will be an unforgettable experience for young and old! Join us

At our office/lounge we have a a small briefing before jumping on our bicycles and start the adventure.
The first part of our journey is on Rama III Road itself where our office/lounge is located but only for a few minutes because the ferryboat to cross the river isn’t far away. While standing on the riverbanks of the Chao Praya River you will be impressed by the many loops that are running in and out the Bhumibol Bridges I & II at 40 meters height.
Lad Pho Pier is located in Samut Prakan province, Thailand. It is a popular tourist attraction known for its picturesque views of the Chao Phraya River. The pier serves as a transportation hub for locals and visitors alike, with boats departing regularly to cross the river.
Bangkrachao is an artificial island in the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. It is also known as the "Green Lung of Bangkok" due to its large amount of green space. The island is home to a variety of wildlife, including monitor lizards, and over 60 species of birds. It is also a popular destination for tourists, who come to enjoy the natural beauty and explore the man-made attractions, such as the Bang Krachao Floating Market, the Bang Krachao Bicycle Trail, and the Bang Krachao Tree Park. The island is also home to a number of temples, including Wat Bang Nam Phueng, Wat Bang Nok Kwaek, and Wat Bang Kachao. Bangkrachao is an important part of Bangkok's culture and history, and is a great place to visit for anyone looking to experience the city's unique atmosphere.
Although we absolutely don't stop at every temple we pass by, there are some temples/sights stopping for and not mentioned in the list of "attractions" in the area. We'll stop at a local Hindu statue/temple, have a meal at a local restaurant and much much more. Let us surprise you
Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden is located in Bang Kachao Sub-District, Samut Prakan Province with an area over 200 Rai. This place was established for being the source production of fresh air, the public park for relaxing and exercising for the people. Also, it is a place for ecosystem education on plant species and animals both local and within nearby area. Therefore, it compares as one of an oasis for the city people who want to experience nature, the local way of life and escaping Bangkok’s chaos. The garden’s characteristic is a combination of public parks that the landscape has been arranged beautifully. It consists of aquatic plants, local plants that are able to grow within brackish water and preserve the original agricultural garden which was the original fruit garden. This park and botanical garden is a Greenfield that the government declared to be “the lungs of Bangkok.” A wooden bridge is for visitors to stroll on peaceful and shady area, including the 7 meters high tower view that can capture the whole scenery of this area. Other than the botanic garden, there is so Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market which opens every Saturday and Sunday (we visit this on our Weekend edition).

The cycling route was beyond expected beautiful. The contact with the company before the tour was very good, quick and clear answers! At cycling day everything went as planned and the cycling path as the places we see was beyond expected beautiful! We booked a private cycling tour for my family of 2 adults and 2 children (4 and 8 years). Also booked the transfer from to hotel via internet of the company. Our kids was on the back the bicycle. We get the pictures of the tour afterwards also. Thank you Andre and Thailand Biking and our guide Tor for a very beautiful experience with the kids!

Incredible biking around the green oasis of Bangkok. Our guide Oliver was exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable and always made sure we were comfortable. Thank you! Highly recommend

I did the tour with my best friends. We were all really excited! We had the luck that no one else booked that day apart from us so we had a very relaxed tour. We drove through beautiful and varied nature, so we didn’t expect this from Bangkok. The stops at the market, the Thai boxing school and the temple also fitted well and were very interesting. Our guide was really courteous, relaxed and funny. We felt totally comfortable and had a lot of fun! :-)

What a fantastic experience. Very relaxed riding and nothing too strenuous and you will see parts of Bangkok that you would never see normally. One of the most memorable holiday experiences you will ever have. Mikan was amazing and very caring and ensured that we was thoroughly looked after.

I was with two others on a guided cycle ride over 21km. We had the chance to see rural life in the city of Bangkok. Despite the pouring rain, I had a great morning.

Got to see the parts of Bangkok that the tourists generally do not visit. The tour included a ferry ride across the river & lunch. The ride does mean cycling along some roadways but the Thai drivers & motorcyclists are quite considerate of other road users.

Had the most amazing insight into another side of Bangkok, with a very knowledgable guide Oliver and Fearn(?) who also was our own personal photographer! Not overly exertion at all so suitable for all abilities, and we stopped for a light lunch too (all included). Great experience and couldn’t recommend it enough! Fun team in the office too, thanks for a super morning.

Highlights: excellent local knowledge. Vegan / vegetarian friendly. Safety conscious. Friendly. We had a really great time on this tour. Our guide Bee was excellent at guiding us around the maze of streets and paths. He was very conscious of our safety and really wanted to help us understand the culture of the area and of Bangkok. I've been to Bangkok before (and on tours) and learnt many new things - which as a teacher I really appreciated! The meal was lovely in the local restaurant. As two (plant based vegetarians) Bee made sure we were able to order a dish that was suitable to our needs and communicated with the kitchen. He even helped us with our taxi on the way home. Would definitely book again with them!

Highly recommend for anyone who wants a different side of bangkok. We cycled on the main road (safe), down small tiny alleys in between houses, into and around the village. It was an eye opener. Only tip: cycle slowly and take in the sights Im a noob cyclist and i survived w 0 scratches. Special thanks to both Tor!
