Know More about this tour

Meet your guide near the Colosseum to begin a fun-filled 2.5 hours learning about ancient Rome.

This specialtour of the ruins of ancient Rome will take you and your family through the magnificent highlights of the ancient city of Rome. Skip the lines and gain quick access to see the interior of the Colosseum, known as the most old and grandest amphitheater of the Roman Empire.

You will learn about the full-blooded gladiators (actually slaves) that fought brave battles against one another or theyd fight ferocious animals (which were imported from all around the world to entertain the mesmerized crowd) to save their own lives. These were the best gladiators who came to Rome to put their lives on the line to fight for the ultimate prize a chance for their freedom.

After closing your gasped expressions from viewing the Colosseum you will wander over to the Roman forum and stroll along the ancient and cobbled streets to learn about the life of the early Romans. Not only will you see the mystical ruins of the Emperors Palace, the Arch of Titus and ancient temples, you will gaze over important political buildings from the time of the great Roman Empire.

The best thing about this tour and out of any other tours in Rome is the fact that its a favorite tour to entice kids into the midst of Roman history, something that is very important. The tour is fully outdoors and the itinerary and stories theyll learn are really exciting and its perfectly okay if they touch things. As with any ruins there are boundaries to be respected however being outdoors is better than being inside a busy and packed boundary lined museum as there are fewer restrictions -they can explore and imagine about more interesting places.

This fun walking tour lasts 2.5hours and you can take this tour any day of the week, with the exception of certain major holidays. The entrance ticket youll get is good for two days meaning you can return again later if you wanted after the tour has completed. It is recommended that you make reservations well in advance with this tour as schedules fill quickly and last minute tours will not always be available.

Sometimes history can be a bit overwhelming for kids, but this was the perfect way to experience the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Our guide brought everything to life with a fun game that kept the kids engaged, great stories and a ton of knowledge. She was also very efficient at navigating the crowds so we were able to get great pictures and experience as much as possible. Definitely recommend!

Our guide Maryanna was excellent. She made our children really engage with the story of Rome. Our kids are 9, 7 and 5. She pointed out really interesting facts at all the key stages of the tour and made sure to keep the kids engaged at all times (including a very welcomed game of “the floor is lava”. Our boys all wanted to give her 10 out of 5!!! At the end she recommended the best Gelato place in Rome (as we have just experienced)!!!

Was great!!!!! The guide was excellent and take into account that our kid was 9 years old. If you want to stay longer in the Forum you can but then choose one of the tours in the morning. The forum closes around 18:00.

My entire family loved this tour. Our guide was excellent and very engaging, keeping the interest of our 9 and 11 year olds. We even played a Roman game carved into the steps in the Forum. Couldn’t have been better!

This was my 7 year old granddaughter’s favorite part of the trip. The guide was wonderful and really great with kids. The 6 year old girl with the other family also had a great time and the two girls were happy to answer questions and look for things in the Colosseum. We all had a great experience.

Fist time in Rome with the kids, so we were looking for kids friendly activities. I cannot say enough about this tour. Marco, our guide was absolutely amazing! He managed to keep our kids (8 and 11) absolutely engaged and entertained for hours. We all LOVED this tour and it was the highlight of our trip. Thanks Marco!!! ❤️ recommend it 100%

What a great time! Our guide, Donato, was a wonderfully energetic, understanding and patient guide! His engagement with our daughter was genuine and kind. I highly recommend this tour if you have kids who won't yet sit through a 3+ hour historical tour of the Coliseum and the Forum. It's entertaining for them and the guides are still knowledgeable so you can ask some extra questions. If your child is under 6, I very highly recommend a carrier. The cobblestone at the forum was harsh on our stroller.
