Know More about this tour

We start at 7:30 am with a visit at Arenal Hanging Bridges, a 2 miles (3 km) trail with 16 bridges ranging in length from 16 to 328 feet (5 to 100 meters) and with heights of up to 196 feet (60 meters), a spectacular scenery of the tropical humid forest, special for the observation of birds, plants, reptiles, mammals and insects.
The second adventure is at La Fortuna Waterfall. With an exotic swimming pool at its base and surrounded by huge rocky canyons, makes it a nice relaxing place. After this refreshing swim we will have lunch in our restaurant "La Finquita".
Following this we enjoyed a hike in at a reserve at the base of the Volcano, through the humid tropical forest for approximately 45 minutes to reach a block of petrified lava from past eruptions. There is the possibility of observing a great variety of plants, fauna, the magnificent view of the Arenal Volcano and the Arenal Lake.
A great day! Now, put on your bathing suit to relax in the hot springs. We will be there for a couple of hours and then have dinner at its restaurant.

This trip was action packed with lots and lots of walking. Our guide was great pointing out frogs, plants, birds and animals on the hike through the hanging bridges. Then she took us down to the Arenal waterfall, consisting of 500 steps down. We swam for a bit and made the trek back up the 500 steps. We are a delicious lunch overlooking a beautiful garden with birds. Then we took a hike around the volcano where our guide told us all about the volcano. The day concluded with swimming at the hot spring and a buffet dinner. It was a long, very active day. Would not recommend for young kids as it’s pretty strenuous (could easily be broken up over multiple days for the kids). But it was a great way to see a lot in a short time.

We could not have had a better time without the leadership of our tour guide, Hido and driver, Christaan. Hido was not only knowledgeable and friendly, but went above and beyond with his service! From helping identify animals and plants, taking photos, and genuinely helping us learn the beauty of Costa Rica, we could not have enjoyed ourselves more on the full day activity. Thank you Hido and Christaan for not only your hospitality, but for an unforgettable experience!! Alexandra and Dale

I would highly recommend this trip for those who are on a tight schedule and want to squeeze in as much as they can while in Costa Rica. Be prepared! This is a looonngg day. We got picked up at 7:30am and didn’t get back to our hotel until 9:30pm. It was well worth it though! We had Diego as our tour guide. I think he single handedly made this trip as amazing as it was. He was extremely knowledgeable about the fauna and flora and Costa Rican culture. Without him, we would not have seen hardly anything. I still don’t understand how he picked out some of the animals we saw in the trees. I was initially bummed because I forgot my binoculars, but I didn’t even need them. They use a powerful telescope type lens to find whatever it may be that you are looking at and they will take pictures with your phone through the lens. (See attached photos below). We were able to see so much wildlife including an eyelash pit viper, rainbow billed toucans, 2 and 3 toed sloths, a bat, another snake and lizard and lots of birds as well as carpenter ants. We also saw coati and even a wild boar! The hanging bridges in Mystico were a bit crowded due to it being busy season, but I honestly didn’t even mind much because we were still able to learn and see so much. La Fortuna waterfall was absolutely beautiful. I would note, you have to walk down and then back up about 500 steps. So be aware of your physical capabilities before booking this. I use a FitBit and I had 20,000 steps by the end of the day. My husband and I brought hiking boots, but we honestly could have gotten by with just tennis shoes. I would also highly recommend a raincoat or poncho because the weather changes so quickly. Bathing suit and sunscreen as well as water shoes are a good idea too. They provided us with towels, and of course lunch after the waterfall. Lunch was great. No complaints about the food. After the waterfall and lunch we went to Arenal Volcano and hiked around the base for about 1.5 hours. I didn’t think this was too difficult of a hike, but again, be aware of your limitations. The hike is rocky and there are some steep parts. After a long day we were dropped off at Ecotermales hot springs. The only thing I would say about this is that I wish it was still light out when we went. But honestly, there were plenty of lighted paths and other lights on the premises so it wasn’t too bad. They had buffet style dinner there too and it was pretty good. My one critique would be if they could rearrange the order of the tour somehow so that you’re not swimming in a bathing suit, then hiking and then swimming again in the hot springs. It’s either a lot of changing or you’re stuck in a wet swim suit while hiking. Overall I would 1000% recommend this tour.

We did the coffee tour at Cafe Diria, a traditional pottery demonstration, wildlife river tour and a local market. Our guide was Mauricio and our driver was Adrian. Mauricio is the best excursion guide we have had on any tour in any foreign location we have been on (we are from the US). Mauricio loves his country (Costa Rica) and took joy in showing it to us. He was so knowledgeable about the flora, fauna and animals of Costa Rica. I learned so much about all of those things as well as the overall ecosystem. The coffee tour at Cafe Diria was really cool. The owner made the content and learning process fun. He also didn’t pressure us to buy anything which I appreciated. The pottery demonstration with Jesus from the Oven store was phenomenal. We were in a rural village, with people living their every day lives and it was so much better than a highly glossy tour. We bought two extraordinary pieces from him, and I loved knowing the money goes to him and his family. The riverboat tour was absolutely incredible. Mauricio went above and beyond to show us every single animal and bird he could find. He told us so much about each animal. It was amazing. I couldn’t do that in my home country! I would recommend this tour to anyone who asked, and I would encourage them to request Mauricio for their guide. Muchas Gracias Mauricio, Pura Vida!

We had a full day tour with this company and we couldn’t be happier with the quality and value of the tour. Most of the credit goes to our tour guide, Cesar, who was really knowledgeable and very involved throughout out the trip. You could tell he really enjoys his job and is passionate to provide the best service. I’m one occasion, while we were behind the schedule and had to rush, he still showed us a sloth that he spotted on the way from the last activity to the next destination. Although he had to stay longer than the schedule with us. The tour itself was great. The van was real high quality and clean. The team, Cesar and driver, were very flexible with our schedule we totally recommend this tour.

We did the 4in1 day tour as well as a night nature walk on a different day with Jacamar. Our guides were great, and all logistics were handled well. Would definitely recommend! We are happy we did the 4in1, it will be fast-paced so of course best not if you want to linger somewhere more, but we did not feel rushed at all.

Had an awesome day and learned so much from Rolando. 5 Stars for Jacamar. Would highly recommend this group and tour. Even though it rained throughout the day the Hanging bridges, Volcano Hike and Waterfall were all amazing to see and learned so much.

First excursion was the Mistico Hanging Bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall and Arenal Volcano Hike with Hugo as our guide. Second excursion was the night walk with Diego and Francisco as our guides. Final excursion was the level 3 white water rafting with Francisco and Romeo as our guides. All of our tours were amazing and the guides went above and beyond to provide a great experience. They were knowledgeable, patient, and very friendly. I highly recommend any tour with this company based on our experience!

Absolutely loved all of it. The stairs from the waterfall were tough getting back up but well worth it. Our guide, Ronald, was full of enthusiasm and knowledge about the entire area. Would recommend to anyone physically fit enough to hike basic trails.
