  • Great tour, though i wish wed had more time in Connemara. But im being picky. Great experience.

  • What an amazing day trip to Connemara... stopping at the beautiful Ross Errily Friary and Kylemore Abbey. The stop in the quaint village of Cong was just fantastic... more beautiful sights and great little shops. But best of all was our driver... who was full of so much knowledge of Ireland's history. We all had the best time! I would STRONGLY suggest this tour!

  • A trip to the spectacular Connamurra and beautiful Kylemore Abbey is a must. I was not disappointed. Our bus driver Mike D kept us entertained all day. Well worth visiting.

  • Loved getting out into the country on this tour! The driver was very chatty and had a lot of great information to share. We mostly took this trip to get out to Cong for the Quiet Man museum, but found that we really loved visiting Kylemore Abbey. This should definitely be at the top of your list if you're looking for great views, and a great story.

  • The Abbey itself is simply stunning - there is LOTS of walking to do between the gardens, the Abbey and the chapel... and the lunch room and gift shop were tours in themselves! The Village of Cong was sweet, but not much open the day we were there, and the Friary was stupendous - I could have spent half a day there, but it was pouring down rain by the time we got there. Tour guide had brilliant wisdom to offer - both on history and Irish points of view. I would go again.

  • The driver was so interesting to listen to. I have been on many Viator tours. This tours talked great deal about the history of the area. Loved that. I thought Kylemore Abbey was nice, but there was only 4 rooms open. So know the tour really is about the country side.

  • If you want to see Connemara, DO THIS TOUR. In addition to the regular stops, we were taken down back roads that no other tour takes, and got to see beautiful scenery and truly experience the vastness of the Connemara region. The time spent at Kylemore was perfect, and we were treated to the regular stops at the fjord, the glacier lake and more. The friary was a nice treat to end the day. Galway Tours is a fantastic company, and you want to take this version!

  • Good tour to give you a sample of Irish countryside. Tour of abbey was interesting and enjoyable. Our tour guide / driver was funny and
    Very enjoyable...what a delight !

  • We booked this day tour in order to cover lots of ground in the time we had in Galway, and it certainly filled the bill. Our driver/guide, Michael, was funny, informative, and easy to understand - not always the case with Irish accents. Not only did we see Kylemore Abbey, the Ross Errilly Friary, and Cobh village, but we also drove through part of The Burren, saw peat bogs, and a whole lot of beautiful scenery. If I could change anything about this tour, it would be to extend it by a half hour so that the time at Kylemore Abbey wouldn't be so rushed. We had two hours there, and in that time we had to see the lovely Abbey gardens and head gardener's cottage, which involved waiting for a shuttle to and from, tour the Abbey house itself, visit the great gift shop, and oh yes, eat lunch. The line into the lunch room was very long so I elected to skip it and eat a chocolate bar in order to make it to the other three. You shouldn't have to make that choice. The time in Cobh was OK since I haven't seen The Quiet Man it didn't do a lot for me. The visit to the Friary was very interesting. Yes, it's a ruin, but a little historical background from Michael brought it alive in my imagination. Maybe the best thing about the tour were the tidbits of information shared by Michael as we passed by famine cottages and various other scenic points of interest. I would recommend it, but I really do hope tour planners increase the time by a bit to make it a less harried at Kylemore.

  • A really exquisite way to see Connemara. A small bus took us through the winding roads and hills of Connemara with many stops to view the scenery. I have truly never seen something this beautiful in all my travels. Kylemore Abbey was lovely. The walled gardens are not to be missed. There is a tea room at the walled gardens that had a lovely view. If it is open I would recommend skipping the cafeteria at the entrance, head straight to the bus to the walled gardens and it will drop you off at the tea room where you should have lunch before you explore the gardens. It looked to have most of the same food as the cafeteria but less crowded and with much better views!
