Know More about this tour

Make your own way to the tour start point in central Copenhagen at 10am. The tour includes rental of a cutting-edge, Bycyklen smart bike; these bikes are a joy to ride, with several powered settings to help you negotiate different terrains.

After a short briefing, set off on your 3-hour ride to see the city’s top sights. Follow your guide around the main boulevards and lanes, taking stops every now and then to rest, snap photos or find out more about the places you see.

The tour may ride along the breezy quayside to the Little Mermaid (Den Lille Havfrue), the statue inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale. Cruise past the colorful houses of Nyhavn waterfront and pause at Amalienborg Palace's beautiful courtyard that is fronted by the four palace facades that make up the winter residence of the Danish royal family.

Also, ride by the beautiful Church of Our Saviour (Vor Frelsers Kirke), and cycle around the pretty gardens of the National Gallery of Denmark (Statens Museum for Kunst). Admire the impressive Kastellet, a star-shaped fortress complete with grassy ramparts and moated surrounds; see the imposing Christiansborg Palace, the home of the Danish parliament; and breeze along the Strøget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrianized avenues, to admire King’s New Square (Kongens Nytorv), a cobbled square with a statue of Denmark’s 17th-century king, Christian V.

The sights come thick and fast, so your tour builds into a fascinating overview of Denmark’s capital, all made extra easy for traveling by bike.

When the time comes, follow your guide back to the starting point where your tour comes to an end.

  • Excellent tour, excellent guide, a great way to see the city.

  • We had 4 people in our bike group. Jessica was our tour guide, extraordinaire. She paced the ride to our ability and structured the tour as to what our interests where. Our 3 hour trip covered a lot of ground but with well spaced breaks for pointing out attractions with knowledgeable commentary and time for pictures. She also pointed out a best value canal tour, authentic Danish food restaurants, and the best breweries. She kept a close eye on us to safely take us point to point. Thank you for a fun morning. I highly recommend this tour.

  • 10/10 Stefan was excellent

  • I feel Trip Advisor owning Viator crosses my ethics Red Line and gives them a near monopoly on bike tours in Copenhagen. How can they ethically rate what they sell? Plus Viator just jobs the tours out to perhaps the lowest bidder. We will see if this review is published in Trip Advisor

  • This tour was really great! If you want to see the most of the city in 3 hours, this is your choice. We were a 4 person guide group which made it a quite dedicated and personal tour hate big groups. Sjalla, our guide, spoke fluent English, German and Danish, knew a lot about the city, curious stories and was particularly kind. Great choice, book this tour.

  • A fabulous morning tour through Copenhagen!

  • We including my two teenage daughters loved this bike tour! Sofie was a fantastic tour guide-warm and friendly, and full of interesting information about all the wonderful sights of Copenhagen. Biking in this city is so easy because of the wide bike lanes that go everywhere. We saw the Little Mermaid so much better than from a bus!, the Round Tower, beautiful Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace, Rosenborg Castle and its gardens and many other things. This is a great first day trip because you get an overview of the city and then you can decide what to go back to. Thank you Sofie for a perfect day!

  • Copenhagen is a great bicycle city. We got a newbie guide so the tour was not the best. Ask for the veteran guides.

  • Great way to see Copenhagen - highly recommended! Our tour guide was friendly, the pace was nice. She was very knowledgeable and the bikes were in good condition.

  • Here's the deal: great way to explore Copenhagen except--our guide wasn't great. He didn't have that much to tell us, was a bit too reserved for a guide and a couple of times pedaled along while some of us were caught at a stop light. Seems to me that he should stop, make sure everyone gets through and THEN return to the front of the group. In addition, the bikes could have had a bit more upkeep. My first bike had a broken brake, the second one had strangely adjusted handlebars. I'm a biker so a bit of a snob, but still.....
