  • This is a great tour. We loved the train ride and eating breakfast on the train. The food was good and the staff was great. It is an early start to the day, but you can certainly catch a nap on the train.
When you get to Blarney Castle, if you want to kiss the stone, you really need to head there first. We stood in line for probably about an hour or more. The staircases up are narrow, but none of our group of 5 had a problem with it. Because of the time that took we were a little rushed in getting food and doing our shopping so a bit more time there would have been nice.
We had some extra time with our tour so we stopped at a cemetery that our guide was able to tell us about and we also stopped at a church that was just beautiful. They were not scheduled stops on the original tour, but was nice we got to see them. Brian was our guide and he was very knowledgeable.
The last stop for the day was the Titantic exhibition which was actually really neat. We weren't sure what we would make of it, but it was really interesting to read the stories and see the pictures.

  • This tour was amazing!

  • This tour was combined with another tour. This caused quite a bit of confusion at the train station and in Cobh. Great shopping in Blarney...most did not tour Blarney castle due to weather conditions, so we just had to experience some great shopping!

  • This is a long day and to start off be aware that there is no leisurely breakfast on board as it stated on the listing. When I asked about it we were told there is a trolley coming. Then 45 minutes later we were offered chips, muffin and soda. I wish I would have known that and purchased a proper breakfast to bring on the train. There was 5 of us so we were all grumbling about that misrepresentation. BUT....the tour and travel was great, no commentary along the way on the train, which kind of surprised me. This was such a great way to travel since we chose not to get a car and drive on the wrong side of the road. The Blarney Castle and Cork were both great. Also visited the prettiest church. Never rushed and very informative. Also lots of great shopping at Blarney. Bring your own breakfast and you will love it!

  • The rail trip from Dublin to Cork is a comfortable and efficient way to travel the countryside. Blarney Castle is much more than kissing the stone. We enjoyed exploring the rooms off the spiral stairway, hiking the lake trail to get a real feel for the Irish shades of green, and taking photos around the grounds. The stop at the Queenstown Story in Cobh Harbour was a special treat for our family because our grandfather sailed from that port. Family history and castles and beautiful scenery all in one smooth trip!

  • It was wonderful to start out by train and wake up and relax while seeing the beautiful countryside along the way to the multiple destinations. My favorite by far is Blarney Castle! Magnificent!
Not only was the castle stunning but the countryside around was so memorable. I highly recommend this tour!

  • Great trip. Well organized and the guides were very knowledgeable and fun to go with. Only a few of us went back to Dublin on the train and Sally was great and got us home.

  • Now this is the real Ireland. Castle was magnificent and the opportunity to kiss the Blarney stone one in a million. Viator doesn't miss a beat in planning the tours. Recommend them highly, they are a class act. Good service, knowledgeable tour guides, and friendly staff.

  • This trip was awesome. BLarney Castle was great. We stopped at Cobb by the ocean and it would have been nice to spend a little more time in that town if the trip could be adjusted. We loved that area.

  • We were only going to be in Ireland for a few days so this was the perfect tour! We arrived in Dublin the night before our tour and enjoyed the night life at Temple Bar. Then we had an amazing day traveling by train to Cork and Blarney. The scenic train ride through the countryside was wonderful. We kissed the Blarney stone and visited the last port of call for the Titanic. Saw so many amazing sights in one day!
