  • This was by far the best excursion during our cruise, easy directions to meet our guide and everything else was taken care of after that. It was fun and educational, learning a bit about the island and the inhabitants that lived in the area before the spaniards came. Not disappointed at all with this tour and the personnel were very interactive. Some things worth mentioning, bring some bug spray 5 a can at site and wear clothes that you won't mind getting dirty, there's lots of mud and dirt, plus you will have a chance to jump off into a cenote from a 20 ft ledge, it was fun and a good cool down from the jungle heat. Last thing, if you take your camera or phone just make sure to secure it while riding so it's not lost in the middle of the jungle, but it's worth taking it along.

  • The atv ride and cenote were amazing!! The staff was very helpful. After your atv ride you can do a free small tequila tasting. Snorkeling was fun but the beach was all rocks and the and #34;resort and #34; was pretty run down. Don and #39;t forget your bandana and towel for the atv ride!

  • Our voucher had a place to go from the cruise ships that the company no longer picks up at, which of course we didn't know until we got there. Getting to this beach club which has changed names since the company picked up here apparently was near impossible with the national triathlon in town for the week. The road to it was literally closed. A 2KM walk to the beach club later, we called the company from a nearby hotel. They told us to go to the Hard Rock Cafe, which from their instructions we then come to realize was steps from the exit of the cruise ship piers. So we're 1 cab ride and 2, 2km walks and ANOTHER cab ride back to the Hard Rock at this point. Awesome start.

At pick up at the Hard Rock, we were dropped at the location for the tour and all excited. They upsold us on a 39 package for a hankerchief, rentashoes, and bug spray. Factor this into your costs. It was no big deal for us, although it all seemed rather unnecessary in hindsight. For some reason, everyone else we were with went on their own tour, and my girlfriend and I went on our very own personalized tour! Awesome right? Well we were informed the snorkeling part of our trip was closed, so that won't be happening. Bummer. No water action. While our guide was 100 awesome and in control of none of this and a Mayan descendant with a lot of knowledge of the area, we saw 3 places on an ATV and did a lot of riding to get there. One of the trails we were supposed to go down was also closed. It seemed like a disorganized mess, although the park and ruins we did see not pyramid looking ruins, more like freshwater/saltwater lakes and small caves important to the Mayans were interesting.

All in all, I think this place has potential - it just seemed a bit of a disorganized mess the day we were there. Fix your pickup locations. Nothing like sending tourists on a wild goose chase. Luckily I plan to be ultra early or we'd have missed this completely by an hour.

  • The ATV was fun, but it was a big group of people with different levels of expertise- some who wanted to drive fast and some who went slow. When I pictured this, I thought we would be getting gorgeous jungle views and learn about some of the local plant life or just see something really beautiful. It was a pre-blazed dirt trail BRING A BANDANA TO COVER YOUR MOUTH!!! and it was essentially follow the leader. It might have been more fun if my husband and I could have gone off on the path on our own, even following the designated area, but it was very regulated. After, they do have showers and bathrooms for changing bring something to change into, its likely you'll get very dirty! and they offered a complimentary tequila tasting. The tour then proceeded to snorkeling- DON'T DO IT. They take you to a resort that has terrible, over priced food and a very small beach. They hand you a snorkel and you're able to independently swim around with the mask- but just in the 30 feet of beach they have. They do not take you out on a boat or show you any of the pretty reefs. Definitely a WASTE OF MONEY.

  • I would say 3.5 stars if it were available to select. The tour guides here are really fantastic, very nice and made the experience fun. The ATV path is quite rugged, there are a lot of bumps and potholes through the majority of it. Our group of 5 ranged in age from 16-76, the 16-year old loved it, my 76-year old grandmother who is pretty adventurous found it to be too much which wasn't surprising. You're allowed to take your camera and I got great photos but be aware there's a lot of dust so either put it in your pocket or a fanny pack-type carrier so you can still be hands free and keep it protected. After the tour they drove us to a beach front restaurant spot where you could get food and drinks for additional cost and use their snorkel equipment. The snorkeling was ok where we went out, we saw some fish but it wasn't great, the majority of our excursion was the atv part. Overall 3.5 stars.

  • Very fun, great tour guides

  • Fun fun fun !!! First time doing ATV but it was very easy to operate. There were 3 staffs guiding us all the way into the jungle.
Snorkeling is excellent. Clear water and tons of fishes. They have one guy to lead us into the deeper area. We felt very safe. What a great experience ! Will be back !!

  • It was great! I wanted to see more Mayan ruins though.

  • Wild Tours did a great job, however there were one or two things that could be improved upon. First, they can make smaller groups for tours requiring less stops to regroup and more ride time on the ATVs. Second they make you stop to take pictures every five to ten minutes turning what would be a 1hour encursion into a three hour trip. Other than that it was dirty, fun, and overall a great experience. After the ATVs they take you to a beach resort with excellent food, drink and snorkeling. A great time for anyone looking to get lots of sun and see some fish.
