Also referred to as Ngu Hanh Son or Mountains of Five Elements, the Marblesconsist of five corresponding peaks: Moc Son (wood); Kim Son (metal); Tho Son (soil); Hoa Son (fire); and Thuy Son (water), the highest and most popular destination due to its alluring beauty.
Spend about 2 hours with your guide at thenatural caves and Buddhist pagodas built around the 19th century. Then visit atraditional marble carving village.
Leaving the Marble mountains for Da Nang around midday, you'll take a guided tour of the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture, which holdsthe finest collection of Champa art.The museum was built in the Cham architectural style of the 5th to15th centuries, when a matriarchal society prevailed. At present, the museum displays approximately 300 sculptures.
Next, head toMarble Beach (My Khe), located just 3 miles(6 km) east of Da Nang. On a4-mile (7-km) stretch of smooth sand with a gentlegradient, it's an ideal place for relaxing and swimming.The warm climate and lack of large waves onthe lee side of the Son Tra peninsula make it a safe place to swim for adults and children alike.
