Overview

This Dallas Food and JFK History tour, narrated by a true Dallas historian, is for hungry history and architecture lovers! This tour begins in the Historic West End where your expert guide will escort you on Dallas’ only walking tour of the JFK experience. The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination and we’ve found these historic sites best explored by foot. Take a moment to reflect in the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza. Stand at the grassy knoll assassination site where you will see the X’s on Elm Street that mark where the two shots were fired. Look up at the infamous sniper’s perch window.

  • our tour guide Jim was very good and very knowledgeable. However, he told us way to much about the buildings he had saved when he worked for the city of Dallas. We went to see architectural things that most of us did not care about. When we started the food tour we were running far behind so by the time we got on the dart we were running behind and by the time we got to the second restaurant we were being told we were leaving in 4 minutes and they were still serving us food. It just seemed to rushed when we got to the food part. When the tour was over we were all just left on our own to get back to where we started and that is where the whole group was going. Thank goodness for a wonderful girl on the trolley that said she would help us. We enjoyed the tour but some small changes should be made.
