Know More about this tour

Departing from Jerusalem in your air-conditioned coach, your first stop is the Mount of olives for scenic views over Jerusalem. From this vantage point you can see the Dome of the Rock at the Temple Mount Esplanade, where heaven is said to meet earth.

Pass the Garden of Gethsemane before continuing to the walls of the Old city. Here you will enter through the Armenian quarter, and see the famous Western wall (Wailing Wall) which functions as an open-air synagogue for thousands of worshipers. Crossing over to the Christian Quarter, you can follow the route of the Via dolorosa. Look out for the 14 Stations of the Cross as you trace Jesus' steps to the site of his crucifixion at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

After a short walk back along the ancient Byzantine main street, your overview of Jerusalem concludes in the Jewish Quarter of the Old city, where your air-conditioned coach will be waiting to take you the short 6-mile journey south to Bethlehem.

The hub of the religious activity in Bethlehem is the Manger Square which is flanked by the Church of the Nativity and also the Mosque of Oman - significant sites of importance for the different people that live in the town. At the Manger Square you can walk on the ground where Jesus was laid down after his birth, and see the places of significance from nativity stories. Visit the Greek and Catholic churches, before an hours drive back to Jersalem.

Yoav Malachi was a great tour guide, he explained everything with a lot of clarity and he was super friendly accommodating our request.

I was in Israel for the first time on a business trip for a week with a colleague and we spontaneously decided to go on a day trip to Jerusalem and Bethlehem with Bein Harim Agency. What we didn't know was how lucky we were with our guide Ami Bar Gil. I am very grateful that he introduced us to this extraordinary place. With his positive and friendly manner and his profound knowledge, he knew how to bring history to life without becoming pathetic or one-sidedly religious. He managed to do the almost impossible and get the entire group (a whole bus full after all) through the chaos of Jerusalem's Old City without anyone getting lost. He also brought us closer to all the sights with interesting details and pictorial explanations. Afterwards we visited Bethlehem, where the group was split up and handed over to two local guides, which I consider an extremely fair gesture towards the locals. You could tell that Ami had the welfare of the local population at heart as well. We always felt safe and well looked after. I would also like to mention the bus driver, who always drove safely and calmly. This is not a matter of course, as we experienced on another trip to the Dead Sea. Thanks to Ami and the Ben Harim team for allowing us to have this experience. I would wish it on anyone seeing Jerusalem and Bethlehem for the first time and with limited time. It motivated me to come back and experience more.

We were really dissapointed with this tour. Had a free day to explore and missed seeing important sites because the tour group was not well organised. We were picked up at 8.10 and taken to a cafe with a view of the city and waited there for 60-90 minutes to be collected. We then headed to the church of the good Sheppard and then taken to a souvenir shop and told the church would not be available til 12.30, so we spent over an hour at the souvenir shop waiting to go see the church where Jesus was born. We did this then were taken to a nearby place for over an hour for all you can eat lunch for 70 Israeli Sheckel. The guides were eating their lunch before anybody else got theirs. Glad we chose not to eat there and grabbed a delicious falafel at a nearby shop in manager square which took us about 15 minutes to purchase and eat. This would have been a better option to allow us more time to view the sites. We then headed to the western wall where we had 15 minutes there before walking to via dolorosa and the church of the holy sepulchre. We were told we were running out of time and would only be able to see 2-3 stations of the cross on the way to the church. We got to the church and told we only had 15 or so minutes there before we had to leave because the bus was collecting us at 4.15. There were line ups to see where Jesus was crucified and his burial area so there was no time to see these..absolutely dissapointing. And the tour guide was difficult to understand. Honestly, you are better off doing this by yourself. It's also best you do not book on a Sunday as there are church services on that cause delays. We went back ourselves later and did all 14 stations of the cross within half hour. This tour should have started with the wall and the via dolorosa and not taken us to the 'tourist trap' shops and eateries where 3 hours were wasted !

I enjoyed walking The stations of the Cross leading to the Chirch of the Holy Sepulcher. The line to see the tomb of Jesus is quite long so I wasn't able to go in because we did not have enough time. Avi our tour guide speaks good English and he really made sure that the group stayed together.

Yasef has been simply amazing, blessed to have him on the tour! The only disappointment was the lunch was not included, increasing the price of the trip. However, I would definitely do it again!

Last month I visited Israel. It was a fantastic 4-day trip full of positive emotions and amazing experiences. I took a full day trip from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem in order to explore the country and see some of the holiest places in the world with my own eyes. We had a very entertaining tour guide - driver who, besides knowing the history of the country and being able to answer any questions from the group, was also a real entertainer. Honestly, Yoav could take a second job as a stand up comedian. As a group, we had so much fun together! I loved the trip. I wish the traffic wasn’t as bad and we would have more time to wonder around and explore the old Jerusalem. Definitely 5 out of 5 and hope to be back soon!
