The tour organizer put the wrong gender when making flight reservations for me so I had great difficulty checking in at the airport at 6am in the morning. There was no one I could contact to figure out why the airline couldn't find my reservation, though fortunately we figured it out in the end. Petra is definitely worth seeing and overall we got a great experience there. However, the tour was not well designed so we only had limited time there. This can be avoid had we stay overnight in Petra the night before or leave early around am rather 9am for it in the morning. Although we did enjoy the overnight stay in tents at Wadi Rum, there was simply too much rush the next day. For those travelers who'd like to take their time to enjoy Petra, this isn't the best option. You may go for the 3-day tour with 2 overnight stays but personally I think it's a bit too much. It'd be great if the tour organizers redesign the 2-day tour to allow 2-3 more hours in Petra for those who have limited time for the attraction.

This is a good option if you don’t have a lot of time and you are hopping between destinations. Petra is a must in the Middle East. You spend just a couple of hours in Petra, the rest of the day is traveling, but still is epic! The tour was organized but when they put you with other groups there is a time wasted. Still I enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to other travelers. There is a city in Israel Eliat that may be interesting to visit that’s were I flight was booked to, and from there we crossed the border walking to Jordan and there are two and a half hours to Petra. The city in the Jordanian side, Aqaba, sound like a cool city to visit too. The two days tour bring you to the sites where the Star War movies were filmed, I did not have time for that. Thanks to all the stuff that made it possible.

Comfortable and easy experience, great way to see Petra if you have only one day - if you have longer I would definitely recommend a two-day tour - there was so much to see. Communication could have been better, I was a bit confused about the flights/pickups/etc, but everything worked as planned. Guide and all drivers were great. Lunch was mediocre, as a vegetarian there weren't great options.

It’s a long day but truly a wonder of the world, a must see! Our guide, Kamal, was highly educated about the history and considering our time frame gave us proper time frames in order to capture it all. Met nice people from the US, Europe and Asia. Just a perfect day with all required connections and border Customs between Tel Aviv and Petra! If it’s only one day you have available, I highly recommend this tour! It was all arranged through Viator with connections to Booking.com and Kamal’s company, Jordan Horizons Tours.

Everything you read in the previous reviewer who gave this company a low rating is true and in fact, a very similar story as mine. I'll give you some quick bullet points below but the bottom line is it seems clear this tour operator is running a scam according to a very well defined playbook. They will fight back against my review I'm sure but in your heart as you read this, I think you will come to understand the truth. Run, don't just walk away from this tour. Quite frankly, it's disappointing Viator hasn't removed such a low quality operator from their site when what these guys engage in is borderline theft. When we arrived at the border crossing to Jordan we were placed with a huge group of over 40 people and had to wait a very long time for all those folks to lag Ramsey the visa fee before we hit the road to Petra. We have already pre-paid these fees and booked a private tour so we should have been immediately taken to our car instead of having to wait approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. There was absolutely no reason to wait that long because we made it through border security without any issues. This was the tour operators mistake for not realizing we had a private tour and sending us directly to our driver after we made it through border security. As a result of the above, we were very delayed getting to Petra. I then had to pay for your mistake when the tour guide told me the best option we had to be able to see the important sight at Petra is to book the electric car. This should not be my mistake to pay for and furthermore, there was no mention of additional fees associated with this tour so the operator should have covered this fee. Not only did I have to pay for myself because of your mistake but I also had to pay for your tour guide. In total this cost me around $100 USD. The above is a monetary cost which can be dealt with but what cannot be gotten back is the extra time we could have had in Petra to enjoy the site and take more pictures. This will cost me yet another trip to Jordan to make up for this. Then we get to the matter of them promising in the original schedule a time for a nice buffet lunch but only delivering a box lunch that we had to eat in the car as we rushed back to the border. This should be at least a $50 USD fee that should be refunded for the lack of a proper meal at a restaurant. Then we get to the matter of the poor planning of a 9pm flight which I had to resolve on my own by spending an additional $220. I asked the airline the tour operator had booked us on and they said there were plenty of seats available on earlier flights but this tour operator booked the cheapest one and pocketed a ton of gains from my tickets. I believe when all is said and done, this operator charged me close to $1500 for this tour and now that I know the costs of domestic flights, visas and tour tickets, I’m beginning to wonder where all the money really went? The transportation to/from the airport and border to Petra really just comes down to gas. The Petra tickets are a flat fee and in fact I was charged more unnecessarily at Petra as mentioned above. To make matters worse… Unfortunately although the tour guide on-site himself was a very nice man, he was an awful tour guide and we learned nothing meaningful about Petra from him. Not to mention the fact above that I had to essentially pay for your tour guide on the very same tour I already had paid for.

The tour itself was good and of course Petra was just amazing. It was just getting there that was brutal. We were in the bus from 2 am and got back about 2 am the next day. Exhausting! I would do it differently.

Terrible experience, I regret so badly to have bought this tour just the fact that the tour is Non-refundable should have been a red flag. The issues began sometime after I bought it when the company send a message in which they said they couldn’t make the tour because the frontier between Israel and Jordan had changed its closing time due to covid-19. They gave me just one single alternative to pay extra for a “private tour”, being as the other alternative was to lose all the money already paid, we were forced to pay for the private tour. Sometime later, they wrote again to us, this time they were asking for us to pay them in advance for the visa for Jordan and a border fee. However, due to the special status, I and my family have we didn’t need to pay for either the visa or the border fee. The situation we explained to them and told them we would solve the day of the tour. When the day arrived all was fine until we passed the Arava border from Israel to Jordan, when we got to Jordan´s migration office there was a representative of the company which required our passports and told us we had to pay the visa for Jordan and some border fees of Israel, to which we told him we didn’t have to pay due to our special status. The guy simply said that we had to speak with the office through WhatsApp and that it was not his problem. The office thought chat told us we needed to pay for our visa and all the other fees. Being as neither the office nor the guy helped us at all. We took our passports from the guy and did migration all by ourselves, without needing to pay a single coin for the visas. After that we wrote back again to the company, telling them we had already sorted the visa process and that we didn’t have to pay for it. The company then changed its speech, because now the same exact sum of money we were required to pay before, was now only for the border fees of Israel that we had already passed without also having to pay. From that moment it was more than clear that they were scamming us. The office thought WhatsApp then gave the ultimatum that if we didn’t pay, they would cancel all the tours, because now suddenly it was a company policy that we had to pay for the visas and border fees even if the states didn’t require us to do it. In the discussion with them we lost several hours, and in the end, being that we had no other alternative we had to pay yet again. When we got out of the migration office, there was this driver who was the only good thing about this trip that took us all the way to Petra in record time. And still, when we got there, the local guide told us we could only have 15 minutes on the treasure (which is the magnificent tomb we all see when you google Petra). That was heartbreaking, only 15 minutes in one of the seven wonders of the world. We could do nothing more than to take some simple pictures because the place was crowded and leave as fast as we got there. On the way back from Petra to the border, we got to eat our lunch which was not “at a local authentic restaurant” but in the bag, you see in the picture which had orange juice, a cucumber, a banana, the peanut butter fingers, and the baked good. We got to the border just before it was closed at 3 pm. And if things couldn’t be worse the company booked the last flight to Tel Aviv which was delayed until 10 pm. It’s important to emphasize how the Ramon airport where we were left for more than 6 hours, it’s a small local airport that doesn’t offer that many services. The experience was terrible, don’t book with this company. I share with you the picture of the place we got to spend most of the time (the Jordan migration office) and of our lunch.

Very long drive from Tel Aviv. Comfortable bus with frequent stops. Drive thru Jordan desert was spectacular. Petra was as advertized -------a world renoun site. Much larger than I expected. having a quide really helped understand everything. Wrap up visit to Petra with a very interesting dinner.

Really well organised with great local travel guide. It’s not to be missed.
I opted for flying from TA rather than bus trip from Jerusalem to save time. However, the return flight kept getting pushed back so instead of at 8pm, it ended up being at 10pm - no fault of the agency but something to have in mind when booking this option
