Know More about this tour

Czestochowa is called Poland's spiritual capital. You will visit the Paulines Monastery at a hill called Jasna Gora with the famous painting of Black Madonna which has a miraculous reputation. Dating back to 14th century Jasna Gora Monastery gained its value for Poles as the place important from the historical (famous Swedish siege in 17th c.) and religious points of view.

Lagiewniki is a district of Krakow famous thanks to Saint Sister Faustina, an apostle of theDivine Mercy. Sister Mary Faustina Kowalska promulgated the worship of God's Charity and the painting "Jesus, I Trust You" - the shrine of Divine Mercy. Annually, each leading Sunday, pilgrimages from all over Europe arrive to pray in front of the miraculous likeness and Saint Faustina's tomb. On 17th August 2002, the Pope John Paul II consecrated the newly built Basilica and devoted the whole World to the Divine Mercy.

Sanctuary of Saint John Paul II in Lagiewniki - located close to the Shrine of Devine Mercy, the Have No Fear! Center is currently one of the most visited churches in Krakow. Dedicated to John Paul II, contains the relics and souvenirs of the Saint.

  • We had a driver and a guide and only we two in the van. The drive to the site takes longer than I expected...but I was happy not to be the one driving having just turned in the rental car from the drive to Zakopane!. The guide was able to tell the legend on the way to the site although I knew it from research done prior to the trip. We then met a guide at the site. she was an inspiration. One can not take pictures of some was a very special day. The food available at the site is awful and expensive pack a picnic Then we went on the the Shrine of Divine Mercy. also wonderful - but no special guide there. Our original guide was very generous with her time! We lingered at the sites and ran-over the aloted time. it is a LONG day but definitely worth it ...and good not to be driving! This is really a touching there is such a long history of pilgrims
also: note the day you are going! August has many pilgrims...we just missed the huge crowds.
