The Guide, Rodica‘s knowledge was incredible. I learnt so much of the history of the area. The castles were amazing to see. Rodica was super professional, managed the group and timing of everything perfectly. We got back to Bucharest late due to traffic conditions and she was still giving advice re things to see in Bucharest. A lovely person who went above and beyond. Super impressed.

Peles castle was the only incredible place to visit… long lines. really long tour.. no time for lunch or bathroom.. bus had a toilet and they didn’t open it at all.. I would not recommend it! Bus driver was really mean & was falling asleep on or way back! Really scary moment..

We spent SEVENTEEN HOURS on a hot bus and the did MAYBE 2.5 hours of ACTUAL TOURING. Traffic was horrendous. Had may 45 minutes TOTAL for food and bathroom breaks. I definitely recommend just stay a day or two in Transylvania and do these tours on your own. Sites are WELL WORTH seeing, just not in this way.

Expecting to return at around 8/9pm and didn't actually return to 1am it was terrible. They wouldn't open the toilet on the bus and made everyone queue at petrol station which added so much time. Would not recommend.

While the tour guide was lovely and the sights were incredible. This has been one of the most painful experiences. There’s ridiculous traffic the whole way from Bucharest to other destinations, which meant we got back at 1am!!! 17 hour day for 2 hours of sight seeing. There was no time to see the actual sights. It felt like an exhausting, rushed, waste of time. I would recommend finding another tour with less packed schedule or renting a car and planning with more time to properly see the sights.

The trip was amazing! It was a very long day so be sure to take drinks and snacks, but there are plenty of rest stops and you will see so much. Our tour was with Greyline and the host Roxana was just fantastic. My bank card got stuck in the ATM at Peles castle and not only did she arrange for a team to come from the bank to retrieve my card but she also arranged for someone to keep it safe and bring it to meet the bus on the way back. I was very grateful and very impressed. I honestly can't imagine anyone back home going to souch trouble to solve problems. Thank you, Roxana! You made an amazing trip even better! We really loved the tour, the audio was good and informative and the castles are incredible. We even passed the castle they are using as the Nevermore Academy in Wednesday on the way!

We had originally booked a 2 day trip to Transylvania, including not just Peles and Bran Castle and Brasov, but also trips to Sibiu and Sighsoara. We were disappointed that that excursion got cancelled by the company offering it, probably because it was undersubscribed for our available dates. So, while we were happy to be able to book a one day trip to the castles and Brasov, we were not entirely as eager for the excursion as we had been. But in the event, everything worked out well and fully met our expectations. The one day-trip is long--almost 14 hours, but the bus was pleasant and the guide on our Grayline tour, Eugene, who was very personable and well-informed, paced the trip well. We had sufficient breaks and long enough to spend at each location--indeed, a bit longer at Bran Castle than allotted, because a sudden thunderstorm and downpour came just as we were starting to make our way out of the castle, which kept us --refreshed by the break in the heat-- inside another half-hour. Guide Eugene remained calm and showed flexibility but also enterprise in finding a quick back way out once the storm had passed. We also had an excellent driver. We really appreciated the guide's being well-informed on the historical/cultural matters and very attentive to our comfort and interests. And we appreciated the pick up/return point near the university (convenient to the little studio apartment we had rented for 5 days) --and were grateful to get verification in advance of the pick up time, which was precisely met. We would highly recommend this Grayline tour.

Very disorganised at the meeting point. Confirmation advises to meet at the Grey line kiosk in University Square which is no longer there. A tour leader did not show so the English and Spanish tour had to travel together but no one really knew which bus to get on and it was not well communicated either. This set the trend for the rest of the day, pushing past other people in lines. Moaning at other your guides and tours for cutting lines. Changing meeting points and not giving clear instructions of where to go. Some parts were interesting but the tour is a little rushed and we were not always clear on what we were seeing or where we were going.

We had a great trip, our guide Eugene did an excellent job. The bus was pretty convinient, air conditioned. Just keep in mind this is quite a long trip and you’ll get back around 23:00. Is a bit tiring, but totally worth it.

Peles Castle was very impressive, Bram Castle slightly less so but still worthwhile. Grays Tours did a great job, both driver and tour guide. It's a long day so good to pack some snacks and water. Brasov interesting but restaurant service a little slow so didn't get much exploring time, restaurants get busy at lunchtime so not really their fault. Suggest taking a packed lunch if you want time to wander about the city too, or eat at a fast food place. Recommended, seemed like an honest tour company not trying to scam you with anything extra.
