I’ll start with what is good about this excursion; you are taken to some of the most beautiful historical ruins in the world by an incredibly talented and knowledgeable guide giving you a unique insight into Egyptian heritage. Now the negatives; if you have plans the day before and/or the day after do NOT do this for a couple of reasons. We have had to change all of our other excursions because they changed our date 4 hours before we were due to depart. The second reason is it is advertised as a long 16 hour day is actually a tedious 21 hour day, you’ll be sold an extra trip to Banana Island which will make your journey home shorter by 1.5 hours and you’ll be able to see Nile crocodiles and monkeys. There is a single crocodile in a tiny circular concrete prison, 3 monkeys in a small cage, a baby crocodile with its face tied up passed around for pictures and a baby monkey on a chain for the same purpose, animal lovers be warned this is not a pleasant experience. We then were left by our coach by mistake (despite having an armed security detail to protect us) for 30 minutes at the end of the day. When THEIR mistake was corrected our heroic security personnel berated my partner and I before the guide intervened and apologised for their oversight. If you want to see Luxor I would recommend flying and spending a night or 2 there because traveling from Hurghada especially with White Shark Travel is an uncomfortable, tense and frustrating experience.

We was picked up bang on 5:30am from our hotel as arranged. My wife and I had a private tour with Mo from YourTourGuide and his drivers. Our day was absolutely awesome!! What Mo didn’t know about his Egyptian history wasn’t worth knowing. From the Karnak temples to a trip up the Nile to Hatshepsut’s temple and The Valley of the Kings, his knowledge was second to none. We had a traditional Egyptian lunch which was lovely and also a stop at a place where they made ornaments from the rocks of the Valley of the Kings. Our day was amazing. Would highly recommend this trip to any one interested in the history of the Egyptian people/life.

Communication and travel one star!! Was only told of pick up 12 hours before. Taxi arrived half hour late. Were told we were being picked up to then go on a bus, mini van arrived and then wert straight to Luxor. Was having panic attacks because we didn't know who was picking us up and if we were even on the right taxi. Eventually arrived at Luxor, sights were incredible and tour guide very helpful. Please, communicate better and respond to questions!

Not impressed with this trip. It started badly when the pickup was an hour late. The tour operators appeared to be conducting some sort of scam with tickets, asking children to under report their age, sending in two people on one ticket, and asking for the original paper tickets to be returned to them for some reason. Also wasn't impressed that people on the same bus, taking exactly the same trip as us had paid less. This is also dishonest pricing. We didn't get to see the colossi of Memnon because of timing issues. The hard sell on an 'optional' extra at the end that required extra payment was also not welcome.

This experience was out of this world. It was so well organised, the guides were knowledgeable not only on the places we went but on tourists. We were given the information we needed and Theban given time to go off and take photos and given the opportunity to ask questions. This was perfect, not everyone wants a full history so being able to go and see things and take photos while others stayed to ask questions was just perfect. We weren’t rushed around, everything was explained in advance. I have nothing but praise for this experience. It was perfect!

We awaited our pick up and no one turned up. From 4.15am we waited and tried calling but there was no answer and still no one showed up. Very disappointed in this as I have still had no contact despite emailing asking for an explanation!

Food was horrible and restaurant was not near the Nile as stated. It’s by sand. Did not state tutukarman. Better air con needed in the bus

Excellent excursion with first class guidance from Mohammed at Luxor. Only improvement suggestion would be a larger coach with sufficient legroom .

The trip was well organized. Due to the high amount of Russian people in our bus, we only had a Russian guide in our bus. Later-on, when approaching Luxor, an English speaking guide joined us and we had some explanation as well. The lunch was very basic and not recommendable (but included). Our biggest frustration was that the guide extended our trip with a boat trip to "crocodile island" for 10 euro per person. It was not obliged but if we didn't do this, we had to wait for 1 hour on the bus until the others were back. That's blackmail. On top of that, crocodile island was nothing more than a couple of shops, 5 monkeys in a cage and 2 crocodiles in a poor sink. Really shameful. They shouldn't do that. The trip to Luxor was fine until that point. A pity that they screwed up the trip at the end. It gave us a bad feeling.

We had an amazing day with our great guide Osama! He made the whole tour so much more fun and interesting. All the little details and facts about Egyptian history have been so insightful. The whole trip was good organized and we can recommend this type of tour and especially our German tour guide Osama!
