Sad to say this, but it was the most disappointing tour I've ever taken. You know this feeling of going on a day trip and getting back in the evening overwhelmed with emotions, impressions and lots of photos? Well, this tour is not the case. Mt. Fuji 5th station was closed due to snow, so we stopped at 4th station, which is literally just a parking lot with a small cafe. Honestly, there was nothing special about the view and 40 minutes we spent there felt unnecessary (10-15 min would be more than enough). After, we went for lunch, which was arranged at a nice hotel, yet food was bland and resembled meals you'd get on a plane (and no jokes, soup was served in an espresso cup). Lake cruise was meh. Ropeway and the time spent up there was the only highlight of this trip. Stunning view of Mt. Fuji!!! Tour guide was also very nice and friendly, but she could not save overall impression of this tour. It is either heavily overpriced or lacks several additional stops and activities. Do not recommend.

I’d looked into doing a day trip independently and found travel alone would be more than this entire tour and take far longer. Trip included lake cruise and ropeway. We didn’t take the lunch option. Guides Ben and Myumi were great, clear instructions and information. Not best of time of year (Feb) for visiting Fuji but by late afternoon we got great views (from top Ropeway Station of Mt Fuji emerging from the cloud and great views in the setting sun as we left on the coach. All in all great value well organised day out from Tokyo.

Pro: It was a good day!. We are lucky enough to see Mt Fuji and lake Kawaguchi from Mt Fuji Station 5, from lake Kawaguchi, also from Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway in a clear day. The lunch was well organized, luxury at the Mt base. The tour guide and driver are both nice and friendly. Everything was set as planned. Cons: The schedule was a little bit tied. We would prefer to start early (7:30 AM) to have more time in lake Kawaguchi to visit the Maple Corridor area which is very closed to the base of the panoramic ropeway station, particularly for the autumn! Instruction for the meeting point is also a little bit confused: Just say "in front of the Shinjuku Center Building" is clear enough for people to find..

The tour guide and the driver were nice and excellent. But we missed Mt Fuji because of traffic. One of the main reasons of our trip to Japan was to visit Mt Fuji. The discovery centre wasn’t great and the ropeway experience wasn’t good either. They had so many people packed inside the cage on a sultry climb up and back. My son felt claustrophobic.

It was really a fun and interesting trip, even though Mt. Fuji was being shy. Our tour guide Hiro was really amazing she entertained us during the drive and was really helpful during the day. She also gave us time to walk around, take pictures. The view from the cable car was amazing. The cruise around the Lake was like a breath of fresh air. I truly enjoy this day trip.

I know weather is always an uncontrollable factor, but this felt like a wasted day - because of low cloud cover, we couldn’t see Fuji at all. Add on to that heavy traffic due to a holiday weekend (which we didn’t know about) and the trip was really long and disappointing. Also, it was not indicated in the description that the “5 hours” duration was only the site seeing part - it takes at least 2 hours each way to get to the Fuji area from Tokyo, and much more in our case. So the trip we’d alloyed 5 hours for took 12, using up a whole day of our trip.
