Board the tour bus in Hobart and enjoy a scenic drive along the coast to the Tasman Peninsula. After morning tea at a local cafe (included), transfer to a three-hour wilderness cruise along the Tasman National Park coastline, from Eaglehawk Neck to Port Arthur.
From the boat, admire the highest vertical sea cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere, visit sea caves and see cliff-nesting peregrine falcons. The boat features covered open-air tiered seating so everyone gets a good all-round view, improving your chances of maybe spotting whales, seabirds, seals and dolphins swimming at the bow of the boat. The interpretive guides will shed light on the peninsulas ecosystems, wildlife and history.
Back on dry land, enjoy lunch (included), before spending three hours at the World Heritage-listed Port arthur historic site. Feel the spooky atmosphere at this former penal colony set in landscaped grounds, and hear tales from the sites convict days as you tour the evocative ruins, which include the guard tower, church and main penitentiary.
The trip back to Hobart departs at around 4.30pm, arriving in the city at around 6pm.

Definitly worth it. The cruise is long and is a true adventure (dont forget to put warm clothes even if hot weather and please note you will be a bit wet by the ocean waves, whatever your place on the boat. if you are on the three first raws, you will have the foot in the water, plan shoes procteded for water). The port arthur is nice to visit too, i found the time we got, enough to visit. Perfect day, perfect timing. We just regret no dolphins, but seals are here.

That is an amazing day trip. Michele is out tour guide. He did out trip very well. I had full cruise trip from Eaglehawk neck to Port Arthur. I saw lot of seals and Dolphins. Amazing view of sea cliffs. Good tea and lunch with fresh ingredients.
-
This was a fun, interesting, and informative tour. The lavender farm was interesting. The boat cruise featured spectacular cliff views, and many seals on the rocks. And I learned a lot about the history of Port Arthur.

This trip combines Tasman Wilderness cruise with historic Port Arthur visit and in my view is the best of the day trips from Hobart!
We had magical experience in the 750 hp boat and saw the Dolphins swim, the fur seals jump and hump back wales spout! The pilots navigation into thin water inlets so close to the magically carved rocks from million of years of erosion was awesome! -
The boat ride to the cliffs is awesome, breathtaking, I just loved it. Our guide Phil was very knowledgeable and and made the trip even more enjoyable.

My tour guide Phil was great! he was very knowledgeable and such a delight. It is a long day, but you are fed and hydrated and you get to see some great natural formations and wildlife. Port Arthur is eye opening and bigger than you might think, you definitely need to pick up the pace if you want to see everything,

This trip was brilliant. I sat at the front of the boat and enjoyed every minute. Fantastic cliffs and caves right up close and terrific speed sessions between wonderful photo opportunities. Then in the afternoon, fascinating Port Arthur, just wish we had a bit more time there. The lunch was good too.

The boat trip was amazing the coach driver was great gave us lots of interesting information the morning tea and lunch was great the whole day went so well gave us a break from driving from place to place the only thing we would do different is to tour Port Arthur on our own the group we were in was too big and I think the tour guide got a bit overwhelmed, grab a guide and google any information you want. Great day really enjoyed it.
-
3 Hour boat ride good lunch and prison visit. People were great to deal with and made it a very enjoyable date. Well worth the money.

The journey round Tasman Island was one of the most exciting boat trips that I have ever enjoyed, while the visit to Port Arthur was both dignified and informative as regards such aspects of the penal settlement as solitary confinement and also the 1996 tragedy.
