Your tour begins at 8am at the BSI bus terminal. Set out through the Icelandic countryside towards the Snaefellsjokull peninsula.
The Snfellsnes peninsula in West Iceland is almost a miniature version of the island. In addition to its characteristic Snfellsjkull glacier, there are black sandy beaches, bird cliffs, spectacular mountains and volcanic craters. On this tour, we will, for example, stop at the small fishing village Arnarstapi, the ancient fishing village Hellnar, visit Djpalnssandur beach and pass by the iconic Kirkjufell mountain.
The stunning landscape of the peninsula has captured the imagination of people all over the world, ever since Jules Verne wrote the famous science fiction novel "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" but the journey begins at Snfellsjkull glacier.

All sights were spectacular. Do this day tour if you have time. Amazing scenery that only touches the surface

The tour guide was so knowledgeable that it added to what would already have been a wonderful tour. Even though we had limited daylight, he managed to allow to hit everything on the list, and it didn't hurt that we lucked into having a very clear, dry day, allowing for perfect views of all the highlights. I went on a tour with Reykjavik Excursions during my last visit to Iceland as well, and it was just as great. I 100% recommend any of the tours they offer.

Insanely beautiful places on this tour! We saw seals at the first stop & we were so lucky with the weather! The landscape changes dramatically along the drive. Jam packed day full of exploring! Our tour guide was lovely and had a lot of patience as some of the group were extremely rude. This was disappointing for the rest of the group as there were some really lovely people too. Our guide was very knowledgable! With this being the longest tour to book onto; it did feel very long. The last stop which is what we were waiting for would have been better to be there a bit sooner to catch the sunshine - However as they say the weather is what it is in Iceland! Highly recommend - Make sure you bring lots of snacks for the trip.

This was one of my longest tour (one out of three) and I enjoy every minute there. Each stop makes us discover another place and another point of view of the country.

Great day out away from the city on this beautiful peninsula. Informative guide and lots of picturesque stops on the way. Nice wee stop for lunch and for those who need them, plenty of bathroom breaks/chances to grab a drink/snacks.

The places we visited were beautiful, but we felt we didn't spend enough time in any of them. It is, overall, a long bus journey to be done in one day and see different sights. I feel it would be much better as a two-day trip, which would give us an opportunity to spend longer time in the really stunning landscapes that we visited. It felt rushed and that stopped us from enjoying it more fully. We also took the two-day trip to the south coast and that felt to have the right proportion of time on the bus and time spent on the places visited. The guide was friendly and very informative but he did not give us enough anticipation of what was coming next or how long the journey was until the next stop. Having said that, it was very beautiful and we enjoyed the day.

Great experience in a wonderful Peninsula! Our day trip was absolutely amazing, thanks to the guide of Regina! Highly recommended!

The weather wasn't great and we could have received more advice in advance on how to dress and what to expect, but other than that, it was great! I just wish I could have done it on a clearer and less rainy day.

The tour guide was amazing, she was attentive and informative and the tour was very interesting, she shared a lot of fun facts and historical and geological information. It is a long tour but definitely worth it to see the beautiful things the Snaefellsnes peninsula has to offer. I would recommend it to anyone coming to Iceland to see the beautiful nature and sights that it has to offer.

It's a long day, but the beautifully rugged landscape made it worthwhile. The stops were well timed. The guide was knowledgeable. We left the tour with a better understanding of the people and land of Iceland.
