The tour will start with in plac Wolnica in Kazimierz, the former Jewish District, at 1pm. We will first treat you to a Polish street food classic, and follow with soups for starters. Next stop (except Sundays) will be a genuine farmers' market: you will see not only fresh local produce but also mysterious bottled concoctions that you probably wouldn't have noticed on your own. This will also be a chance to chat to local farmers (the guide will help with communication!) and try seasonal fruits or veggies. Moving on, the tour will bring you for main courses to a modern, Michelin-recommended restaurant. If you crave for more tradition, we will be also visiting one of the best folk restaurants in the Market Square area for some cured meats and cheese: that's where we will serve mouthwatering kiebasa and pickles. At that stage, you shouldn't feel hungry at all, but they say there's a separate stomach for desert, so we will wrap up the tour with a dessert to die for and some coffee in one of the local classic pastry shops.
Altogether, you will be treated to at least 10 tastings during the tour at 5-6 stops, including 4 sitting-down restaurant tastings. This is not a nibble-only street food tour! We will walk approx. 2.5 km (1.5 m) over 4 hours, which gives you an opportunity to get an overview of the city centre and burn some calories in between the tastings!
The guide will follow up the tour with a written summary and some extra insider tips for the remainder of your time in Krakow.
