The worst experience I have ever had with an excursion anywhere in the world. We registered for the tour before we arrived in Dubai. My wife and I are 69 but age nor physical restrictions were not mentioned on any of the forms or descriptions. While talking with others it was mentioned that the dune drive can be quite physical so the morning of the excursion I called and asked the agent and he said the ride could be rough but they would pick us up at the hotel and take us straight to the campsite without the dune drive. I said that was fine. When the pick up didn't arrive I called again and they said you can't go because you are over 60. I asked why didn't you call back to tell us and the answer was we didn't know your room number at the hotel so we couldn't call. That was obviously a lie because they had all of my contact info plus you don't need a room number when you call a hotel. I told them we lost the whole day because we were going on their tour and they didn't show up and didn't call. If they had called that morning to say we couldn't go I would have been disappointed but not angry because we would have time to plan another activity. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever incurred in all of my travels.
