If anyone is going to Marrakech for the first time I would highly recommend getting a private tour of the souks etc, you cannot go wrong. Our guide Omar was brilliant, he spoke excellent English and told us all about Marrakech and about the traders and workmen you see making things etc. He was good fun and we enjoyed his compan, he also helped when it came to bartering! If you do not have a guide you will get lost and you will miss out on seeing some key sights. The 3 hour tour was the highlight of our 5 day trip. Thank you Omar!
Do not use I told Hassan Prior that I wanted to see where people lived and worked in the souks and tanneries but not to buy . Everywhere he took us we were pressurised to buy including by him . If we didn’t buy the owners ignored us . He told us no history as we walked and pointed out only things I had asked to see He tried several times to sell us his personal tour to the mountains . It was awkward . He walked ahead so fast we almost lost him A waste of money
Ouidad is the prime jewel of our trip to Marrakech. She guided us trough the souks of Marrakech, without her we would surely be lost for the first time. She gave us amazing tips and perfect information about the history of Marrakech, her English was great and it was just very nice to be with her. Ouidad, we loved our time with you and thank you so much for the delicious olives you gave us, we loved them! We never felt more welcome in another country then with you!
Aimad conducted a very interesting and informative tour. We learned a lot about the culture, traditions and history of the city. It is always nice to walk along the streets of the city with the local, we visited places that we ourselves would not find. We were always welcomed to make photos and ask lots of additional quiestions. Aimad is fluent in English, communication was easy and with humor. Thanks for a great time.
We had an amazing time with Jaafar discovering Marrakech off the beaten tracks. Thank you for the warm welcome and great tour guide!
I chose Jaafar as i have seen him from a You Tube video and was recommended by the vlogger. And i did not make a mistake of choosing him, there were 12 of us and all first timer in Marrakesh...Jaafar was so kind to pick us up from our hotel instead of waiting in the usual meeting place. He has a lot of patience especially with a big group like ours. He did accommodate every questions we had. We had seen Marrakesh as we wanted and i am pretty sure that we would not be able to do it on our own. A very caring guide and he also made sure that all of us were ok. I would recommend Jaafar to our friends when they travel to Marrakesh. He even helped us to have a refund for one couple who did not make it to our trip!!! Thanks a lot Jaafar. Good luck and God bless.
Had a great half day private tour with Adil. He was very accommodating about the meeting location and was very knowledgeable about Marrakesh! He was flexible about what we saw, had great suggestions for alternatives and his English skills were terrific. We could not have started out our trip to Marrakesh with a better guide!
We loved our cycle tour of Marrakesh with Omar - he was very warm and friendly as well as very informative. The cycle ride was so much fun through the crazy livelyliness of the streets. Thankyou Omar for a great time!
Omar merci mille fois !!
