Experience the Alaskan wilderness from the treetops on a zipline adventure from Juneau. First, enjoy a short, high-speed boat ride across the Gastineau Channel to Douglas Island and an off-road trip through the rainforest; then soar through the air on 10 ziplines, admiring views of the dense forest canopy below. See natural and historical attractions like Bullion Creek and the old Treadwell Mine, and end with a rappel descent from the final platform.

Know More about this tour

Your adventure begins at the Mt Roberts aerial tram station in downtown Juneau, where youll meet your guide and head to the high-speed boat that will take you across the Gastineau Channel, the narrow stretch of water that separates Juneau from Douglas Island, the site of your zipline tour.
During the ride, pass by Suicide Falls and Mayflower Island before arriving on a remote stretch of beach that provides direct access to the zipline base camp. Your experienced and well-trained guide will outfit you with state-of-the-art gear and go over all safety guidelines and instruction. Then hop in a 4x4 all-terrain vehicle for the drive up the rainforest-clad hillside to your first zipline platform.
Once your guide helps you hook your harness to the dual cable, push off from the platform on the first of 10 ziplines. Fly through the air and look down upon the dense, green canopy of old-growth spruce trees. Throughout the rest of the nearly 1-mile (1.6-km) zipline course, youll cross two suspension bridges and take in views of Bullion Creek and Juneau. Plus, see the ruins of the Treadwell Mine, considered one of the worlds largest gold mines in the late 1800s. Zoom over its 180-foot-deep (55-meter) hole where part of the ground once collapsed.
The last zipline takes you to a final platform from where you can rappel back to base camp for one last heart-pumping moment. Then enjoy a light snack and receive a medal in recognition of your feat.
Your tour ends with return to Juneau by boat.

  • this was a first time experience for 2 senior citizen. ease of travel to the site was great. Weather that day was sunny . Our guides were Rylie and Maggie and they were fantastic. Very helpful and encouraging. A little nervous at first , but got the hang of the ropes fairly quickly. Would recommend to anyone. We had a great time and would do it again.

  • For my first zipline experience, it could not be much better.

  • So fun, everything we hoped for and more! Staff was awesome and we all had a blast! I was with my 50 yo old husband, 23 yo son, 18 yo son, and 16 yo daughter. WE all loved it!

  • Good excursion. A little much for those who are not athletic. Might do it again. Had fun. Staff had great knowledge about the event, the location, and the history. Worth the money. Caroline and the other guide were excellent.

  • Douglas Island is beautiful and the zip lining is fantastic. The boat ride to the island is a short, easy hop from the cruise ship dock. Our experience was 100 in the rain, from the time we left Juneau, throughout our zip line adventure, and during our return to Juneau. The rain made the experience a bit more challenging, and at the same time rewarding and memorable. This was our first time zip lining, and I was especially concerned, given my age 71 and a couple health issues. The young, knowledgeable, enthusiastic crew made this adventure very doable and enjoyable. This line culminates with an 800 ft. run you must experience to appreciate. Great experience and would definitely do again.

  • This was our 4th time zipping in different places. This particular zip was the best so far. Don't miss the opportunity of a life time with this one! Love, love, loved it.

  • We had much fun and at 75 I was impressed that I did it. My wife went way out of her comfort zone and just champed it. I was and am very impressed with her courage. We will do it again if we ever cruisewhich require some time to save our money. Thank you!

  • Took my two kids to it. Great staff. Roughly 10 ziplines. Plan on half day if you decide to go to it.
