Our group of three had an amazing day with Sofia - she was very knowledgeable of Porto and the surrounding areas and was warm and attentive. She checked in with us to be sure that we were OK with the itinerary and that we were comfortable. The wineries chosen were delicious and we had a traditional Portuguese meal for lunch. Overall, fantastic experience and highly recommend!

Enrique was a wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable about the area and how wine vs port is produced. Loved the mini tours we had at each winery as well as the beautiful boat ride!
-
Luis was a wonderful guide. His knowledge of the area, his ability to engage all of our group, making all feel comfortable and welcome, and his enjoyment of showing us the area and its remarkable vineyards made for a terrific day.

The two winery's personnel. They were very informative and enthusiastic. The small group we had promoted interaction and good conversation.

Luis was an awesome guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, personable. Very organized tour with drop off and pick up scheduled ahead of time. DEFINITELY do this tour!!!!

This was a long day but we packed in some really great experiences. Our guide, Mafalda, was from one of the small villages we visited in the Douro Valley, Pinhao. It was great to get an insider's view. It was a really nice benefit to have them pick us up and drop us off at our hotels. The port and wine tastings were great and the traditional lunch in Pinhao was very interesting. The boat ride was nice but not really necessary to get spectacular views and beautiful pictures of the Douro Valley.

The day was perfect! Ricardo was an awesome tour guide! The wine delicious! I enjoyed the small group way to experience Duoro valley.

First, let me say that Sophia was remarkable! Her knowledge of the Douro and the wines was truly what made the adventure memorable! In my lifelong pursuit of wine knowledge, I appreciate someone that can explain complex processes in easy-to understand terms. She knows her business well. Secondly, I've done too many of these "touristy" tours, and I understand that tour companies have to offer their captive audience a "local" menu for the requisite lunch. It's never very good...and this was no different. Budgets are the driving force, and I get that, but it's still very, very disappointing. Thankfully, they had a good local wine. A suggestion might be to offer an upgraded menu for an additional cost to those that want something a little better. Lastly, and here I might be out of line (maybe a little older and more fearful of my own mortality), but driving skills don't seem to be a requisite for tour drivers. The four hours or so we spent in the van were terrifying! Speeds approaching 150 kilometers, weaving in front of vehicles as though she was the only one in the van (there were 8 passengers), and talking with hands off the wheel in dangerously small country roads with no visibility around single lane corners. I honestly thought we were in dire trouble dozens of times. It should be a requirement to think of the customer first...clearly not the case here. Loved the education and dialogue but would never recommend this tour to anyone with a heart condition or the will to live. The country-side was truly remarkable but the Douro education could easily be accomplished with a two-hour lecture at the WOW museum, which I will recommend in my feedback to the museum. Overall, an A+ for Sophia's wine knowledge, but a clear F (for 'fear') for driving skills! Oh yes, and an F to the tour company for a substandard 'lunch.' It's okay, call me a snob, but I don't see the point of paying for a great tour and then being cheap about the local cuisine. G

We loved our Douro Valley wine tour with Luis! He picked us up on time, and was so friendly (and funny). He was so knowlegeable and amicable - it felt as though we were daytripping with friends. You could tell how much he loves doing what he does and sharing the beauty of the Douro vineyards with us. I was sad to say goodbye..but as we say in Hawaii..A Hui Ho..till we meet again!

Wow, the Douro Valley is beautiful. Don't miss touring Portugal's wine country. Views are amazing and the wine we tasted was wonderful. Marina was a great host. We recommend you request Marina as your guide.
