Discover the beauty, culture and history of Portland on a guided bike tour -- the ideal way to experience the city! Pedal through downtown, Chinatown and the Pearl district, and ride along the waterfront for great views. Pass 19th-Century brick buildings, art galleries, classic Food carts and a 140-year-old brewery. Your guide will offer interesting commentary on your easy ride, suitable for all riding skill levels.

Know More about this tour

Starting in downtown Portland in either the morning or afternoon, follow your guide on an easy, mostly flat 9-mile (14-km) bike ride through the city. Travel along bike lanes and stop to admire the views of the skyline, the river and the city’s many bridges. While riding along the waterfront, pass the 19th-Century brick and cast iron-fronted buildings of Old Town.

Continue into bustling Chinatown and on through the Pearl district, where turn-of-the-Century warehouses have been turned into art galleries, shops and restaurants surrounded by soaring glass apartment buildings. You’ll make several stops in this interesting area to snap photos and learn some interesting history.

Pass Henry Weinhard’s 140-year-old brewery and a fortress-like armory that was turned into a theater. Continue south to downtown Portland, where you’ll pass classic Food carts before entering the South park blocks.

Pedal through Oregon’s largest university, Portland State University, and then turn downhill to the waterfront and ride along the Willamette River. You'll end up back where you started.

Great 3 hours to spend if you want to get to know the hidden corners of Portland. I had an electric bike and it was easy to control through the bike path.

The group, guided by John ( excellent guide, very friendly) was rather small, 6 people altogether! We enjoyed a comprehensive tour of Portland dowtown for over 3 hours of gentle cycling. All major landmarks of the town, and many informations on the living style, history etc! No much efforts, easy going cyling tour!

What an awesome way to experience Portland! We only had one full day to spend in the city and wanted a way to hit the highlights and experience the culture. It exceeded our expectations and our guide Scotland made us feel like family. Highly recommend!!

The morning bike tour was awesome. Great weather, wonderful scenery and John, the guide, was friendly, mindful, knowledgeable and entertaining. Get the electric bike if you are not a regular biker, otherwise you should be fine. Plenty of breaks to take nice pictures and enjoy the views.

Excellent tour with Todd as our guide….He was friendly, informative and entertaining, showing us all the different neighbourhoods and interesting spots in Portland. He kept us safe, and protected from the elements (I have a new appreciation of rain ponchos) and showed us things we would never have seen on our own. Fun to stop for coffee and donuts too - yum! We loved this tour and would highly recommend it!
