As you wander around Dubrovnik's ancient walls, your guide will explain the defensive and political challenges faced by Dubrovnik in the past. Davor was amazing and told us so much about Dubrovnik and the wars. he was open to questions and took time to explain and answer our questions.
we were very pleased and would recommend anyone visiting to do this tour.
Davor made the tour fantastic. Along with the normal stuff about history, he shared lots of personal stories which made it more interesting
We had an excellent tour with Marco he is a local and very passionate and knowledgeable about his city. We have been on many walking tours and I would think this was one of the best. The steps up the 1st section are a bit of a killer but then not too bad
This tour is a must. Great views and friendly helpful guide. Jadranka gave just the right amount of information which added to the enjoyment of the walk rather than just doing it on your own.
Marlo was excellent. He was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. Nice to meet a local . Glad we went early to eat the crowds and heat.
The time slot of 5:30 was still a busy time, but not over crowded. We were promptly greeted by persons in charge and fitted with our whisper devices. Davor was our tour guide. He was passionate, detailed and gave as much insight as you could expect over a two-hour tour. We felt fortunate that he was our guide.
The walls are remarkable and the community within was surprising hosting, for example, a working school and university.
If you forgot to bring water, there are stations throughout the tour which sell same, as well as spots to purchase food.
As a caution, this tour involves approximately 1,000 steps with a climb of , I believe, 80 feet. It would be difficult for someone with mobility issues.
Save your ticket receipt as it will allow you free admission to Fort Lovrijenac (nearby) if used within a few days of the wall tour.
It was the highlight of our 10-night stay in Dubrovnik.
Davor was our guide and he was an excellent ambassador of Dubrovnik. We enjoyed stories at each point on the walls for over two hours. It was an excellent tour. Highly recommend!
The walk itself was above the old town on the city walls, a tour you basically can do on your own - which i don’t recommend when you can do it with Davor! His english was excellent, and his knowledge likewise! We had the perfect sunset stroll with him! I highly recommend to book this tour!
My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed this 2 hour tour around the city walls of old town Dubrovnik with young guide Jadranka, who was born in the city. She was very friendly and knowledgeable, even up to the military conflict with Serbia in the 1990s.
The tour gives you time to purchase your ticket for entrance to the walls and fortress. The walk around the walls is about 2kms but there are plenty of stops for photos and refreshment stands around there circuit for a drink and sit.
The stairs can be arduous, you need a bit of breath!
Great tour. Ivan was very knowledgeable and kept the tour interesting. He also gave us great recommendations and took our photos.
