With its palm-fringed beaches, holiday villas and hidden bays, it's no wonder Lokrum is nicknamed 'The Island of Love'.

  • Fantastic trip out around the bay in Dubrovnik.
Snorkeling was lovely, lots of little fish to see.
I was hard work paddling back into the bay from the other side of the island, but well worth it.
Our tour guide was lovely and friendly. We stopped frequently and she told us the history/stories of the island and Dubrovnik

  • This trip is a must and you need not be an experienced kayaker. I am a senior and I was able to kayak for the 3 hour trip. There are plenty of rest spots/breaks on the water and you can keep up your own pace. We were lucky to have a small group, only three kayaks and the guide. At one point, it seemed like we were the only ones on the Adriatic Sea. The snorkeling is only so so - not many exciting fish especially if you are use to more tropical waters and a big array of colorful fish. But the stop to the cove to swim and snorkel was lovely. We did an afternoon trip in early October and the weather was still perfect! A barrel is provided so that you can stash your clothes and valuables while you kayak. No towel is provided, so bring your own.

  • You must do this excursion.........you won't be disappointed.
Had a great time and very informative.

  • I have done a few kayaking adventure trips but guys that led this one were the best! Petier and Frankie from Dalmatian Day Tours were kind and attentive to each individual whilst also making the trip good fun and informative. You can tell they enjoy their job. This trip is a must!

  • Me and my partner booked a kayaking trip for the beginning of September while we were in Dubrovnik for a few days. We're really glad we did - it was so much fun. There was about 10 kayaks in our group all together.

We were greeted by friendly staff who gave us life jackets and a dry bag to keep our stuff in on the kayak - we were unsure of how much we could take with us so didn't bring much but the dry bags are quite big and could hold 2 rucksacks/day bags if needed. They also had secure boxes to keep electronic equipment in that were a bit of extra protection on top of the dry bag. Plus a bottle of water each.

Had a quick intro to using the paddles and then into the water. We were complete beginners - had never kayaked before and have an extremely basic fitness level - but we felt the trip was perfectly fine for us so if you're worried about that I wouldn't be put off.

The guides were really friendly and patient with us, and they stopped every 20 mins or so to tell us a bit of history or to let us stop and rest and admire the beautiful scenery. We stopped at a little cove for sandwiches and a snorkel we didn't end up doing the snorkelling, just had a swim in the sea. Sandwiches were just what we needed and we had about half an hour rest there. Then it was the last leg back to the finishing point. About 3 - 4 hours in total and we kayaked 7.5km. Sounds intense but it really isn't difficult though our shoulders/arms definitely felt it the following day!

I would highly recommend this trip if you're visiting, we're so pleased we did it - it was the highlight of our 3 days in Dubrovnik! Many thanks to our guides.

  • Trevlig tur och bra instruktioner, tyvärr hade vi otur vädermässigt med stora vågor och en av instruktörerna som inte levde upp till vad vi hade förväntat oss då vi är nybörjare.

  • My companion and I are older and thought that the kayaking would be fun, since we have kayaked many times on lakes and rivers. Never in a group like this. This was the height of the tourist season, so there were 20 kayaks in each group and, there are several companies who offer kayak outings, so they all have to time things closely so as to not bump into each other on the route. Some go one way around the island and some go the other. However, that also means they have to really pump along to stay out of each other's way. We were ALWAYS the last kayak and we were paddling like mad. There were two rest stops going around the island, and of course, since we were the last kayak, everyone else had all already rested for a few minutes by the time we got to them, and they were eager to get moving again, so we didn't get to rest much and were utterly exhausted by the time we got to the snorkeling spot. It was sort of a beach inside a cave and there were at least two groups there at the time, so there were about 100 people, allowing for hardly any room for snorkeling or pulling up kayaks. We were tired and just sat in the kayak with our feet hanging into the water so we could conserve energy by not having to haul out and back in again through the crowd. We thought they might have an option for people who got tired or sick during the trip, but they just seemed annoyed. Also, when the swarm of boats launched again, some people were just rude and pushed right by us, not caring if they bumped into us from every direction. There were two guides one in front and one along side, but they didn't pay much attention to us or our needs, except once when we decided to stop paddling to rest for a bit and we got reprimanded to stay with the group. Honestly, there are so many tourists during June, July and August, that if you want to kayak more leisurely during those times, I strongly suggest that you just rent individual kayaks and take your time paying by the hour, rather than going with a group. I would not do this trip again, but the views of Dubrovnik, the island and its nude beach are worth seeing from water level.

  • A great adventure even with little previous experience. We loved it and the history of Dubrovnik. The staff set the pace so well for the group and were so organised. I'd love to do it again.

  • Amateur hour! Starting point is on a rock near the ocean! The staff are great and knowledgable about the area it's just a shame their set up is so poor. Snorkelling and swimming is a complete farce, the cave where this is meant to happen is so crowded because of the sheer number of tour groups squeezed in and with so little access to the water it's impossible to get in. Scenery itself is spectacular and the paddling isn't difficult, just don't expect to be able to shower and change your clothes when it's over, rocky outcrops don't have facilities

  • The kayaking was good, not for beginners as long. If I had known we had to walk through raw sewage to get out I would have cancelled
