Know More about this tour

While youre in port in Dubrovnik, stroll around the narrow streets of Old town and soak up the history and culture of this magnificent walled city. On this two-hour walking tour, your local guide will show you the finest sights of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old town.

Your shore excursion begins at Pile gate; walk along the elegant main street and visit the most important attractions along the way. In front of the Pile gate entrance, you'll see the circular Onofrio's Fountain, which is connected by aqueduct to a spring 7.5 miles (12 km) from town. Then see the Franciscan monastery, containing a restored sculpture of the Pieta and a gorgeous cloister dating back to the 14th century.

Continue walking to Sponza palace, a Renaissance palace that now houses the State Archives. Other highlights on this tour include Orlando`s Column, the City Bell tower, the Rectors Palace and the Church of St Blaise, the citys patron saint. Continue across the main square, where you will visit Dubrovnik's baroque Cathedral of the Assumption, built in the 18th century after an earthquake destroyed the original one.

This was the type of tour where you have to wear headphones in order to hear the tour guide because there was quite a bit of people, and she's always up ahead of the group. She gave out all the facts, but no other interesting stories or anything to keep my attention.

If you really like history, you would like this tour. It was a little too much for me. I would have enjoyed Dubronik just as much without the tour. It is a small town and easy to see on your own. We did the wall on our own after this tour and it was the highlight.
