Know More about this tour

Your tour will begin just in front of the entrance to the Duomo ticket office at Piazza di San Giovanni, where your guide will lead you passed the public lines and directly into the cathedral, thanks to our special no wait access. Upon entering the church, your guide will begin the story of this incredible feat of engineering that required a whole new process for its construction. Including how, after nearly 200 years of construction, architect Filippo Brunelleschi's innovative approach finally enabled its completion. In addition to learning the history of this magnificent structure, you will also view the beautiful details of its interior including elaborate marble floors, stained-glass windows, and beautiful frescos. Your tour will be capped off by the viewing of Vasari’s famous Last Judgement, which lines the incredible 375 ft high dome. After your thirty-minute guided tour you will have the option to remain and explore the Duomo at your leisure or continue out to the beautiful Piazza del Duomo.
The Brunelleschi Dome, part of the Florence Cathedral, is a crowning architectural achievement by Filippo Brunelleschi. Completed in the 15th century, it stands as an engineering marvel, showcasing a double-shell structure with an inner and outer dome. The red-tiled exterior harmonizes with the city's skyline. Climbing to the top will reward you with unparalleled panoramic views of Florence, making it a testament to Brunelleschi's innovative genius and a symbol of Renaissance ingenuity.
This tour also includes tickets to the nearby Museo della Misericordia. You can visit this jewel of a museum on your own to see its selection of Renaissance paintings and learn about the history of the ambulance corps that was founded to deal with the Black Death.

Our tour guide was very good. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. The Duomo itself is beautiful and the cupola was amazing. If you’re thinking of going you should definitely take the tour. Otherwise you’ll be standing in a very long line for a very long time whereas we just went in right away as a group.

We sped right on in whilst others waiting in lines in the heat. Is what is says it is, express tour. Takes us through the church and that’s it, you’re not going up into the dome you get a good overview of the church with the layout, how why and who built it, the art work etc. she is informative and offers to answer any questions, was a good tour.

we were really disappointed with the guide who sent the visit to the hospi center busy with visitors and the explanations too fast at no charge it was not at all pleasant.

Great guide with very good information just enough for a quick shoofty around Every thing went very smoothly

  • 15-Aug-2023

It was 30 min as promised and we skipped the huge line to enter. But I felt that we missed something or we were expecting something else. Don’t think entering and listening to the story was worth it vs seeing it outside and reading it about it.

Ineresting to get a deeper insight. Knowledgable guide. However the homepage could have been more informative that the duomo climb was not icluded. Of course the information was there, but you had to go to the "not included" page to find that. My mistake, but misleading anymay.

We would highly recommend you check this tour out. It was well run and very interesting. Our tour guide was brilliant and made it a fun way to see the sites. We would highly recommend you book this skip the queues tour as the line for the ticket office and to get it was very very long even when we arrived for our early in the day visit. Give it a go you will enjoy it, full of history and passion.

Definitely a great tour. This tour is a little more on the minimal side, but for the price, it is worth it just to skip the line and get inside!

  • 11-Aug-2023

Great way to skip the queues and learn about the Il Duomo from a tour guide. Half an hour was sufficient and just right for a family with two kids.
