The tour guy that we had was amazing. He explained everything professionally. He answered a lot of the questions and spoke perfect English. He is very knowledgeable about Vatican. I just wish the tour was longer are you

Our guide was informative and helpful. However the experience was not as described when booking - we did not go straight to the Sistine Chapel as promised but after passing through security still took over an hour to reach it via other galleries with explanation as we went. When we did reach the Chapel it was packed with 200 - 300 people and we were certainly not "some of the first visitors of the day, before the crowds". I don't want to be critical of our guide who pointed out many things to notice and had good knowledge. However I did not get what I was expecting and what I believed I was paying extra for.

My mother and I went. We still had to wait in a long line for skip the line first entry. We were “first” after uncountable other groups. It was hard for my mother to keep up. If we diverted to the lifts, we surely would have lost the group in the massive crowd. There was a side door in the Sistine Chapel to go the the Basilica that we did t get to use. By the time we walked all the way around the outside to get to the entrace, the line was wrapped around multiple times. That was disappointing.

the tour guide --so thorough, pleasant, and animated. She was terrific. It was easy to find the entry point.

Great experience to see the Sistine chapel and Raphael rooms. It was busier than usual but our guide did her best to explain and answered our questions. Just be aware there was no easy way through to basilica after the Vatican museums and will have to exit and queue again.

Sabina was an utterly incredible tour guide. A font of knowledge and super fun. Would highly recommend!

  • 13-Aug-2023

It is extremely and dangerously crowded. The police in the church are rude and handle people like cattle. Prepare to sweat and smell others with horrible hygiene. The museum is large and filled amazing paintings and the tour guide was very pleasant and tried her best. But the pushing and shoving was simply too much. That is why you should try September but remember, there is no off season for tourism in Rome.

It was a really great tour! The meeting place was easy to find and it started quickly. Our tour guide was very friendly and super knowledgeable. She answered every question and showed us all the best things. The skip the line was definitely worth it, since the museum was really busy and our guide took us on some great short cuts so we made it to the chapel before it got very busy.

Not about the tour but about Viator. The worst customer service, not any help provided and rude answers

By far one of the best things we did in Rome. Absolutely breathtaking and our tour guide Roxy was amazing. She has 13 years of experience and it shows.
