This tour begins with the pick up from the hotels at the agreed time.
Relax into your air-conditioned coach or minivan and enjoy the views over the untouched landscapes on route to Walichu Caves. After roughly 30 minutes, arrive at the ancient caves on the shores of Lake Argentino. Marvel at the spectacular milky-blue lake, and follow the trail (own expense) to gaze at the aeons-old rock paintings. Admire the recreated and authentic depictions of humans and animals, and learn from a local guide how they date back around 4,000 years to Paleolithic times and were probably originated created by pre-Tehuelche hunter-gatherers.
Next, drive back to El Calafate for a panoramic sightseeing tour. Drive past the early 20th-century buildings and homes built by its first settlers, as well as the main plaza, church and other landmarks as your guide details the towns early beginnings.We will see the Coastal Walk, which is close to the Lago Argentino coast.
Finish at the El Calafate Historical Intepretation Center. Explore this informative museum independently (own expense) and uncover the areas history, wildlife and geology.     Lindas vistas e guiamento muito bom nas cavernas/pinturas rupestres. Há parada para banheiros e lanche. Fiz no final de tarde e o passeio encerrou com um jantar na caverna, que achei muito corrida essa parte. De modo geral, foi bom, mas não faria novamente.

    La ciudad de El Calafate tiene algunas cosas buenas y no tan buenas para el turista como ser : De las no tan buenas : muchisimos perros de la calle . No son agresivos con la gente pero sí entre ellos . Ladridos nocturnos que molestan dependiendo de cada persona y la habitacion que te toque en el hotel. La ciudad esta en crecimiento y por el momento no es tan agradable como centro turistico. De lo bueno: un centro con muchas opciones gastronomicas compra de souvenirs y ferias de artesanias. agencias de turismo con excursiones muy interesantes .

    Visitamos El Calafate, Santa Cruz, Argetina🇦🇷. Es colorido, alegre, limpio y pintoresco. Recorrerlo fue hermoso.

    Muy interesante ver vestigios de civilizaciones anteriores en cuevas q muestran como vivian y se alimentaban habitantes hace miles de años, el lugar al borde del lago, bello!!

    Una excursion simple y poder saber de nuestros antepasados como se han manifestado y dejaron sus huellas por estas cierras de Glaciares. Una Excelenta audioguia y de no mas de 2 horas de nuestro tiempo de visitante. Se ubican entre el aeroparque y la ciudad... hacia las orillas del Lago Argentino
