An absolutely wonderful day, we were welcomed by Jorens at the office in Saint Emillion, he was awesome, very helpful and gave us a very good brief on this wine region, then Ben our tour guide got us sorted with our bikes and off we went on an excellent day of learning about this region, the history, the wine and the wine industry. A first class lunch, plenty of chances for photos and to purchase wine from the region and even to have it shipped home. Excellent leadership from Ben throughout the day, two excellent Chateaus visited, with some amazing wines sampled. The day finished back in Saint Emilion with a final wine tasting and a local town walk. Value for money, bike helmet and water provided, bikes very easy to ride. One suggestion, Sunday was a good day to do this as there is less traffic. I would highly recommend this tour. We were staying on Saint Emilion, but you can be picked up from Bordeaux.

My wife and I booked the bike tour but, unfortunately, having tried the bike my wife felt she wouldn't be able to cope for a full day. Despite the fact they were under no obligation to do so Rustic Wine rescheduled us to a mini bus tour and ensured that we were picked up at a place convenient to us. The tour was excellent our guide, Ben, was knowledgable, helpful and engaging. We had a great time and learnt a great deal about both wine in general and the region specifically. We would heartily recommend using the company and will, hopefully do so ourselves in the future.

This trip was fantastic! The electric bikes were so much fun and the views were stunning. Our host Ben was incredible and he took us on a journey that could be likened to that of the movie ‘The Hobbit”. At one point, I am sure I even saw Mordor. The journey was even more fun than the destination and that is saying something. The wine tours were informative and the wine delicious. As for the picnic lunch, this was more like a top class buffet! The tour company thought of everything and, again, Ben was the highlight of my trip. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience! 10/10 🙌🏻

Big call out to Tim who runs Rustic Vines, and our guide, Taylor who led us around the extraordinary beauty of the Saint-Emilion region. We visited two Chateauxs plus the picturesque town of Saint-Emilion. At all times Taylor was intuitive, thoughtful and informative about our environs and the bike riding. The e-bikes were excellent and made the journey super fast. The wine tours within the Chateauxs plus the tastings were well orchestrated and the wines were spot on in terms of meeting the palettes of a diverse group. Lunch was nicely timed, and we were well watered for the journey in the light summer heat. Would definitely book again with Rustic Vines for another region within Bordeaux. Back next year.

Prior to visiting the stunning old town of St Emilion we booked up with Rustic Vine Tours for a full day wine tour using electric assisted bikes, taking in some incredible rolling countryside and vineyards. The electric assistance was simple to use and very welcome on the steep inclines on our tour. Our group of 6 visited Château Bernateau and Chateau St Georges while enjoying fabulous St Emilion wine tastings and a nice picnic lunch. This gave us time to introduce ourselves and chat to our cycling companions, Matt & Jennifer from California. Our day concluded with a walking tour of St Emilion itself which is a UNESCO-listed world heritage site. Our tour guide Nicolas Floret was not just an expert on the theatre and decorum attached to French wine drinking but also very well versed in local history of battlefields and the surrounding villages. At the last moment Nicolas went out of his way to take us to a local family producer of Cremant de Bordeaux. This is a fantastic AOC classified sparkling white made similarly to champagne but in the heart of Bordeaux and recognised since April 1990, this comes from a longstanding tradition in the region of producing top rated sparkling wines, dating back as far as the 19th century. This is a day not to be missed and one which I will certainly repeat when I return. We will also seek out Nicolas as our guide!

Very knowledgeable about the chateaux, very informative. Bikes were easy to ride and there were plenty of breaks. Wine tasting was very good with plenty of varieties. The picnic was excellent. We would go again and thoroughly recommend it as an excellent special day out! Well done to the team!
