Overview

While Elvis Presley became the biggest name in music history and achieved worldwide fame and fortune, his roots in the Northeast Mississippi city of Tupelo were humble. Guests will experience the rural setting of Elvis' upbringing and see where it all began in the two-room house where the King of Rock n' Roll was born on January 8, 1935, the church he attended in his youth, and see artifacts from his modest beginnings. Sit back and relax on a luxury motorcoach for this narrated 8-hour excursion departing every Friday from The Guest House at Graceland in Memphis to Tupelo, Mississippi.

Enjoyed our visit from start to finish. Tony our tour guide was highly knowledgeable and entertaining- and made us feel like absolute VIPs. Definitely recommend booking as early a tour as you can to allow you the entire day to take in all there is to see.

Our tour guide was John. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about Elvis, Graceland and all of their history. He was a wonderful guide, and I could tell that he was so passionate and close with the family. He was an excellent tour guide, and he made our experience the best!

  • 07-Dec-2022

Tour was excellent! The pace was relaxing and the tour guide was informative. The only thing I would change was the choices for lunch; however, I liked that they provided plenty of water.

Like dozens of others, I was expected to stand in multiple lines (one line leads to another line) for 45+ minutes. I cannot do that at my age (77) without falling over, so I pulled a chair from a restaurant near the long snaking line and sat on the chair, making myself the object of screaming and scolding from staff. The most interesting part of the exhibits was Elvis's military service. Vastly overrated tourist trap. Go see the Civil Rights Museum instead.

Tony Miner was an excellent guide! Extremely knowledgeable and highly respectful to the EP legacy and Presley family. Highly recommend the Ultimate VIP Tour!

I went to tour Graceland for my birthday, my family, my bestfriend, and I had the Ultimate VIP Tour tickets. And I'm going to say it was worth the money. Our tour guides name was Tony, and he went above and beyond to make our experience a good one. He included details that made such a difference on our tour. He made sure to get to know everyone and that they were included. He was very nice and respectful and even made sure to shake everyones hand after the tour. I am looking forward for when I visit again.

One of the places on my wife's bucket list. Loved the tour. Learned a lot about Elvis. Well organized, food was good, & informative. If you are an Elvis fan, well worth the money.

  • 24-Nov-2022

It was disorganized, food was terrible and tour guide not that knowledgeable. Also a long drive. The bus was overbooked and we spent an hour trying to figure out how to seat everyone because they were not prepared for a person in a wheel chair - even though they had been repeatedly told by the family. Lunch was a soggy sandwich with cold cuts, tomato and lettuce. I knew more about things than the tour guide did - and I just did some reading before the trip. Everything Elvis was overpriced for what you got.

  • 20-Nov-2022

We visited on a cold Nov afternoon. Overpriced ($76 adult). Spent over half our time there waiting outside in lines in the cold weather. Herded from room to room in the mansion. Shuttles (you can't walk to the mansion) run slowly and often stand in place either empty or full of people. Employees really couldn't care less. The mansion is just 'meh'. Food at the restaurants was mediocre. Save your money.
