Darlyn is a very kind person, she was very patient explaining everything about emeralds, jewelry and beyond

I enjoyed the lecture and the museum but the street vendors at the Fort were horrible. This bus was hard to maneuver at the steps and there was a really old couple that could hardly get up and down. Then there were multiple staircases. The cruise ship should make sure that folks know this is not a handicap friendly excursion. The employees in Caribe store were a little pushy as well.

The tour was as described, and was exactly what we wanted for a fairly short port visit. Benny, our driver from the Cruise Terminal to the
Emerald Museum, gave an excellent commentary during the drive, and varied the route coming and going, a real bonus since it became an impromptu city tour. Carlos then gave us a private tour of the museum. He was excellent, the depth of his knowledge was impressive, and it was much more meaningful than we had expected. The workshop was helpful and interesting. When that was finished we went to the showroom, and there was no pressure. They asked what our budget was and showed us things in our range. All told, we were pleased and thought that it was not only educational and informative, but good value considering what all was included car, driver, private museum tour, workshop, and snacks. We even met the somewhat famous 3 brothers who founded the business. The only glitch was hooking up with Benny at the terminal. All of the private tour personnel were stationed with their name-identifying sighs midway between the ship and the terminal, and the shuttle bus from the ship to the terminal drove right past that point straight to the terminal. I had to walk back to where they were to find our contact. Those folks should be aware of this and station themselves at the shuttle bus stop. Had I not seen the line up from the bus, we might never have found Benny. -
