Know More about this tour

Meet your private guide at your Kusadasi hotel or port, then head off for a 20 min drive to Ephesus. One of the 12 cities of Ionian League (an ancient Greek district on the western coast of Asia Minor) Ephesus was a major departure point for trade routes into Asia Minor. Explore its marble streets and visit the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian, and The Grand Theater, where St. Paul preached from.

Next, travel to the House of virgin mary, located in the Aladag Mountains 5 miles away from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council in 431 AD, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After learning the history of the site, drive to St. Johns Basilica, where the evangelist St. John is thought to have spent his last years. Pay a quick visit to Artemission Temple, one on the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Then head to the pretty, old Turkish-Orthodox village of Sirince, located on the top of a mountain and surrounded by vineyards and peach trees. The village is an amalgamation of Turk-Greek culture and offers the chance to visit both a mosque and an Orthodox church. Shop for handicrafts or olive oil or hope in one of the small cafes for a taste of Sirinces popular local wine. Your guide will drive you back to your hotel or port in Kusadasi at the end of the tour.
