Wonderfully informative tour with a delightful guide. We learned a lot about Tromsø and had a really nice time.
Our guide Astrid was great! Very entertains and knowledgable. W felt we not only learnt about the history of Tromsø but also about the culture and community. Great! Thank you.
While Tromso is a lovely small city, we got no feel for it as far as the way its history evolved and developed. The guide, who was less than enthusiastic and disinterested in his guests' thoughts, seemed to focus mostly on the arts and music scene. That would be after we started with a long review of Roald Amundsen. We ultimately walked away to enjoy the city on our own.
Bernhard gave us a fabulous tour of the town, filling in history, chronology, famous personalities and more. It rained most of the time but that didn’t get in the way. Apparently he makes his own beer… and does a beer-fest tour in the winter. All while getting multiple degrees 🇳🇴
Helen was very knowledgeable and fun to walk around in Tromso. Great experience and would highly recommend it as one of your first tours.
Very informative tour with an excellent guide. The Polar Museum was particularly interesting. Enjoyed the drinks and food at the bar at the end as we all got to know more about each other. Highly recommended.
Our guide Astrid was very knowledgeable and friendly, and gave us a lot of interesting and fun facts about Tromso. She also escorted us round the Polar Museum, which was helpful and gave us a greater insight than going on our own. Afterwards she suggested a very good bar to go to, to end the trip. A lovely few hours.
Very interesting and super nice and gründet guide Astrid! A local guide who can give you an insight in Tromso and Norway history and traditions.
5/5 —> One of the best historical tours I have been on. Sarah is absolutely incredible. Her knowledge and understanding of the city is incredible. She also made sure that the way she shared it brought so much of this gorgeous city to life. It made me understand why Tromso is the way it is. The influences and the transformations this city has seen. This is certainly a must do tour for anyone visiting. I loved her enthusiasm and ability to bring in so much energy in all the locations and while we walked. We walked around the city and also had a detailed visit to the Polar Museum. It was lovely to be able to learn more about Svalbard as well and the people who took that difficult journey. Loved all the murals and work of art in the areas that we walked through. Loved the wall of women that celebrates the different strong women of Tromso. All in all, one of the best historical tours and would recommend this to everyone. Bring in enthusiasm and you will love learning about this beautiful city.
