Had an amazing time, really loved the stop at the local farm and got to see a lot of Etna for a reasonable price

Great time had by all and a tour that worked great for my kids. We were picked up close to where we stayed, had a great tasting and then explored Etna.

We were at Sicily for 9 days, and this trip was probably the most memorable for us. The timing for the sunset was on point, the leader of the tour was really welcoming and the tasting was interesting with all the products.

Loved this experience from start to end. It was well timed, not too fast paced, while the guide, Francesco, was amazing. Very knowledgeable, communicative and patient in responding to my many questions. He was also fun and considerate of all the people in the group's needs. Would definitely repeat this stunning trip. The pre tour communition was fast, although we were just about to call to make sure they hadnt forgetten us when the van turned up at pick up point. Luigi, our guide, was great and the drive up was fine despite the windy roads, he handled them well. The Italian produce and wine tasting stop was far more extensive than we expected, and yes they have a shop you can buy their products but they do have an interestinf range of liquor, beer, jams, oils, honey and wines. Heading further up the mountain we crossed lots of lava fields and the scenery really changed. Our hike went to the top of one of the four Silvestre craters near the start of the cable car. The clouds covered the peak but we felt like we got a good sense of Etna when walking on the bubbly lava gravel. We stopped on the roadside to see the lava tube, which didn't seem like much from the outside but once you climb under the road you can see how smooth the lava tube is and how it dives and disappears into the unseen depths (luckily with safety rope!) This was the highlight of our trip to Catania and well worth it! We felt we got good value for money overall.

The weather was pretty bad so there was no sunset. But the crater and the lava cave was cool. The food was from a little cafe on Mt. Etna, not a true Sicilian meal.

Loved this tour! Nando was a fantastic tour guide, was lovely learning all the details about the volcano. We first did the tasting, and yes, it is a small tasting, but it does exactly what it says on the tin: you taste a couple of different wines, jams, olive oil and different shots that they produce on the farm. All very tasty! Second we went in the small cave, nothing to worry about or to be scared about, few minutes to look around and we were off. Then we did our Etna walk and Nando made sure he adapted to everyone's needs: one couple didn't wanna walk, so they stayed in the bar chalet and then he came with us and another couple, who wanted to walk. We walked over a couple of inactive craters, the view was clear, fantastic and even managed to have a little sunset, we were very lucky with the weather. Being scared of heights, I can't believe I hiked that high, very proud of myself and very happy I did it. If I can do it anyone can! The walk itself is nothing major or difficult, a light walk really, but like i said seriously thoroughly enjoyed this tour. One of the highlights of my sicilian trip!

Our guide went out if his way to give us so much information on how Etna was formed. He was very supportive and helpful on our trip to Etna.
