Mount Etna is the highest active stratovolcano in the world.

We propose to spend a day with us in a small friendly group to discover a beautiful nature, endemic flora and fauna and the amazing environment of Mount Etna.

We will pick you up in the morning in the certain meeting point (piazza Stesicoro 32, Catania) and soon we will drive to reach the altitude of 2.000 above sea level.

At this altitude we will start our moderate hike off the beaten tracks (approx. 3 hours) to admire the fascinating landscape of the Valle del Bove, the biggest caldera of Mount Etna and its moon like deserts. From there we will enjoy breathtaking views of the summit craters and the surrounding landscapes facing the Ionian Sea.

Meeting point in Catania or Trecastagni. Tour available all year long.

The guides were all really knowledgeable and friendly. The nature in the volcano is really nice and despite having a lot of fog the hike was fun. I would have appreciated something more challenging but we had a mixed group and some people were not too fit. But that’s on me as I should have booked a tour with hiking difficulty levels. Would come back and do the tour with the same guides anytime!

We arranged pick up from our hotel in Catania. We travel by minibus to Etna to meet the rest of the group around 15 with Ernesto and 2 other guides. We did feel under dressed without hiking gear .Up to Etna base camp and we were supplied with shoes poles fleeces waterproofs .We were well briefed on what was to come . Although our group of 4 were not seasoned hikers the guides waited for us and we never lagged too far behind .They were informative and passionate about the flora and fauna around Etna .A thoroughly immersive experience . We did feel at first that we had probably overreached but really enjoyed the trek Etna scree running two pair of 60 year olds has given us memories we will not forget. Thanks from Les, Alison .Lesley and Arture.

The trekking through Etnas soft, gravelly surface and enjoying the beautiful vegetation along the way. The tour guides were fantastic and full of lots of interesting information regarding Etna. I was a bit slower than the younger more fit members of the group and really appreciated their care and patience. Was a wonderful day!

We went on a guided tour to Mt. Etna, wine & Alcantara with Etna expirience guide from Linguaglossa in the north part. The guided tour is good because from the guide you learn a lot about the volcano, it's history, nature around and you dont't have to worry about the way. Combining the tour with visit to Alcantara let us only 45 min to spent in Alcantara Gorgeus. I would recomend to visit Etna and Alcantara river park separately, because only so you can admire both for as long as you want. Also I think the must see point of Etna is the south part with Silvestri craters and cable car. We went there by ourselves and it was fantastic. For our 4 and 7 years old sons it was no problem to go with cable car and to explore the volcano surroundings at 2500 m.

Absolutely amazing experience! A very well organised tour. The guides were very friendly and had a great sense of humour. All of the essential equipment was provided (shoes, poles and jackets). The tour allowed for a stop at the visitor centre both before and after the climb - perfect opportunity to grab snacks/souvenirs! The ascent was slow and steady and allowed the guides to share knowledge about the volcano as we climbed. Decent was down a steep slope, running down felt like skiing! The trip was both educational and fun, and provided the opportunity to meet other solo traveler’s in Catania. All-in-all excellent value for money!

Vaya artista que es Ernesto! We had so much fun, amazing views and very knowledgeable guides, we felt very safe all the excursion. First Sicilian to use turning lights ever I think! We went to see the views of the Caldera that was impressive, it was a good hike but we never felt rushed and we did it just fine at our own pace. Constanza was another star, very funny and caring person. We hope we can repeat the experience again in the future. We highly recommend it. Aah almost forgot, easy pick-up point, Roman amphitheatre, not like other tours that is chaos. Ernesto nos vemos pronto amigo! Pedro and Izabella

Great hike, great gear from the company! Friendly staff. Hike takes app. 3.5 hrs., so be prepared! It was a pleasure.

When I got there, I was afraid we would just be going on a little walk, but this wasn’t the case at all!! We were able to climb pretty high up the volcano, and then, the highlight, run down the side! Such a cool experience.

I totally recommend this activity if you wish to come close to nature and explore the volcano. Even though it is demanding and exhausting, it is worth the effort.
