We had an excellent time. Andre our tour guide with Kapohokine Adventures was great and a wealth of volcano and Hawaiian knowledge. We loved the lava tube, the crater and all the dried lava fields. My son really loved the echo produced at the crater. Just wished we could have seen some lava at the end of the experience. But you can’t plan that. But besides that it couldn’t have been a better experience.

Very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Great trip! The weather was excellent. The guides offered jackets and flashlights that made it so much better for viewing at night and in breezy conditions

So grateful for this tour! Hunter was absolutely amazing and incredibly knowledgeable. My friend and I booked very last minute and we are so glad we did highly recommend this tour from Hilo. Timing was perfect. Highlight of the tour was seeing the volcanic lava lake. The company provided jackets, snacks, and water bottles. Don’t hesitate to book this tour. The company is highly experienced, very professional, and timely.

Andre was a great guide. Not only did he explain everything you need to know about volcanoes, but made it interesting and easy to understand with a sense of humor and folklore stories thrown in.

Do not book through Viator our tour was canceled by them and rebooked when we looked at our new trip it was for a pickup 2 1/2 hours from our hotel. When we called to just cancel Emerson said there was nothing he could do and could not even find our reservation. When I asked to speak with a manager he kept making excuses and then put me on hold forever and never connected me to a manager. Now I’m out over $1000 because of the 2 bookings I can see this is going to be a fight BUYER BEWARE DO NOT USE VIATOR go direct to the 3rd party

Seeing lava breaking through the caldera floor was just a spectacular experience. Great tour guide (Kyle) - everything was well organized. Recommend 👍

Fantastic tour. Our guide, Kyle Dorland, was just the best - knowledgeable, fun and enthusiastic. We stopped several times to walk on and among the lava fields, through a huge lava tube and after dark we got the most fantastic view of the Kilauea caldera with erupting lava. So impressive. We loved it, great tour.

Adam was a excellent tour and a great driver. It was a very long day but well worth it. Favorite part was the lava tube cave
