Know More about this tour

An inimitable experience to discover the popular and artistic heart of the venetian lagoon!

Comfortably seated in a Grand Tourism motor-boat, a specialized tour guide will explain history and curiosities about these marvelous islands

Murano, Burano and to Torcello are the most beautiful islands of the lagoon. The first stop is in Murano, worldwide famous for its glass-blowing art. You will visit a real furnace seeing a local artisan create a glass items using the antique techniques. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to buy a piece of the local production on site.

The tour proceeds to Burano the island celebrated for its lace-making and for the multi-colored fishermens houses. Getting off the boat and, after few meters, you will be in the magnificent Island mains Square.
On the right of the Square there is the San Martinos Church which houses the Crucifixion painting by Tiepolo, and the famous leaning tower. You can walk along the tiny streets and picturesque canals where you can buy lace products or opt to go into a pastry store to try the local sweet production the Bussol and the Esse biscuits.

The last stop, but not the least, is Torcello: the first center of civilization in the estuary. On this quiet and sparsely populated island you can see the most ancient churches of the lagoon: The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta with its magnificent mosaics and the church of Santa Fosca: testimony of its former glory.

At end you will come back on the Grand Tourism boat to return to St. Marks Square.

Was a bit disappointed - timing in Murano, Burano and Torcello was limited - case of rush, rush, rush!!!! Dont believe I can recommend this tour!

Good tour. These islands are a must visit when in Venice!

  • 28-Jul-2017

Four of us took this excursion. Had I known in advance that we could have done this by using the Vaporetti. , the public transportation system, we would have done so. It would have allowed for additional sightseeing and shopping. The Vaporetti 4.1 and 4.2 serve the island of Murano every 20 minutes. Our excursion did get us to the Glass Museum in Murano but with just enough time to visit their store. One block away there were many more shops. We just didn't have the time. We were back on the boat heading for Burano. Once again, we saw one lace shop with little or no time to explore the island and then it was off to Torcello. If you have limited time, this excursion is fine. If you wish to explore and shop take the Vaporetti and relax.

Sadly, it was pouring rain and so we decided to skip the tour. It was something we had been looking forward to

  • 26-Jan-2017

We had a nice time and really enjoyed the glass making at island of Murano. The other stops not too much to see or do and it was a very short time allowed at each island. My visit was in winter so not sure if that impacted the not much to see or do. The boat ride was comfortable and enjoyable.

Great trip, however I would suggest that during the winter months, they should make the departure a bit earlier! We traveled on the 1st of January 2017, and only left Venice at 14:00, this meant that by time we reached Burano, the sun was already setting, and we only arrived back in Venice at 18:30.. would have been great to get back slightly earlier.

Experience was great though and well worth the money spent!

  • 08-Dec-2016

Not enough seats on boat, only 20-25 min at each stop, the only interesting part of this was leaving the group and finding something else of interest. Just meant for you to buy whatever they demonstrated! Waste of 4 hours

  • 29-Jun-2016

Awesome trip! I do wish we had spent more time in Burano and less in Torcello. By the time you walk to the church and back your time is up in Torcello - no time to see anything.

  • 09-Feb-2016

    Needs to be longer

  • 17-Dec-2015

The Murano glass demo was tied directly to their store selling it and #39;s goods.I felt it was a big selling push, not in our best interest to explore island.I suggest visiting Burano independently. We could have spent many hours there instead of the 45 minutes allowed. It and #39;s TOO beautiful to rush in/out of.
