Murano, Burano and to Torcello are the most beautiful islands of the lagoon. The first stop is in Murano, worldwide famous for its glass-blowing art. You will visit a real furnace seeing a local artisan create a glass items using the antique techniques. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to buy a piece of the local production on site.
The tour proceeds to Burano the island celebrated for its lace-making and for the multi-colored fishermens houses. Getting off the boat and, after few meters, you will be in the magnificent Island mains Square.
On the right of the Square there is the San Martinos Church which houses the Crucifixion painting by Tiepolo, and the famous leaning tower. You can walk along the tiny streets and picturesque canals where you can buy lace products or opt to go into a pastry store to try the local sweet production the Bussol and the Esse biscuits.
The last stop, but not the least, is Torcello: the first center of civilization in the estuary. On this quiet and sparsely populated island you can see the most ancient churches of the lagoon: The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta with its magnificent mosaics and the church of Santa Fosca: testimony of its former glory.
At end you will come back on the Grand Tourism boat to return to St. Marks Square.
