La Candelaria is a creative hot-spot of Bogot. Theres nothing like it anywhere else in this sprawling city. Art-deco and colonial houses, with baroque churches behind them; the old and the new intermingled in this free walking tour Bogot.

Join one of our guides in the heart of Bogot and discover what this neighborhood has hidden away. Inscribed in graffiti and mixed in the drinks, youll discover Bogots colonial and indigenous past, the roots of Colombian history.

A confluence of culture and conflict can be felt all around, as you follow a trail of graffiti through old city streets. Learn about the impact of Colombian drug trafficking, emerald mafia, and how all lines up with its +50 year old armed conflict. State, drugs, war, guerrillas, trade: a volatile mixture that has often blinded us to the better side of Colombia.

Great tour!! Zara (English speaking tour guide) was incredible and did a great job of showing us around, especially during a tricky day which was Bogotá’s birthday. She was very informative and knew a lot about the history and she made the whole experience great! This was one of the best tours of our holiday and we highly recommend it.

This is a great “first day in Bogota tour!” I had been in the city for over a week at this point and already knew much of the information that was covered or suggested for future excursions but thought the history and cultural aspects of the tour were eye opening and interesting. Luis was charming and well spoken. I certainly recommend for travelers in their first or second day in the city and looking to get ideas on what to do next.

Great guide. Informative. Enjoyed the coffee tasting and all the sights. Felt safe in a city known for its danger

Zara was incredible! The tour was great and Zara did an awesome job of navigating the busy streets - especially on Bogotá’s birthday. The fruit and coffee tasting was great and all in all 10/10 experience, would highly recommend to anyone short on time in bogota

Sara our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed her description and explanation of the sites along the way. She also shared many details about Bogota, especially on its holiday. We enjoyed the company of the other tourists as well

We had a great tour with Luis. He introduced us La Candelaria and its history. We went to a fruit market to try traditional Colombian fruits and walked to several plazas. At the end we stopped at a very cute coffee shop to try traditional Colombian coffee. Luis was very personable, and he got us engaged in the tour as well by asking questions. He knew so much about the places we visited as well as the culture and history of Bogota. I would highly recommend this tour as an introduction to Bogota.

Huge shout out to my guide Nataly. Through my own fault I missed the beginning of the tour because I mis-remembered the date, but she was able to accommodate me into the group without any fuss once we met up at the next stop in the tour. Not only was she personable and knowledgeable, she showed true kindness and a desire to connect with her guests. I'm happy she is in the tourism industry because I think it is genuinely fulfilling for her, which of course transfers onto the guests' experience. Make sure you reward your employees for their efforts... it is not every day you get someone who doesn't see their job as just a paycheck ♡♡♡

Good overview of Bogotá on this friendly walking tour. We stopped at fruit markets sampling various fruits indigenous of Colombia as well as tasting Colombian chocolate and coffee at other venues along the way.
