  Dildora was so incredibly knowledgeable about all things Detroit, and she shared her knowledge in a very conversational and personable style. This tour was part looking at beautiful, amazing architecture and design, and part learning about the history and sociopolitical landscape of Detroit. The pace of the tour was just right, not too fast nor too slow, and I liked that there were breaks where we sat down and just talked while we looked at the interesting things around us. Dildora also takes the time to answer questions based on each person's interests, including recommendations for restaurants and other things to see and visit. I am extremely impressed at how well she was able to balance so many things at once to provide a wonderful experience for the group! I loved that on this tour we got to go inside buildings, and see places that Dildora had access to. Folks at the buildings we went into all knew her, and literally opened locked doors for us when we got there. Initially I felt like this was very expensive, since it's more than I would usually spend on a ticket for a fun thing, and I was hoping it would be worth it. I found that it was sooooo well worth it, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

  Dildora, is a full fledged extremely knowable Heart Plaza tour guide. She talks you through the founders of Detroit, but focuses her 2+ hour presentation, staring with Henry Ford and his world famous architect Albert Kohn. Then she proceeds to walk through some of the buildings he designed as well as the current restoration projects of Bedrock development co. So not only to you get the historical back story, but a fresh insight into the future renaissance of Detroit's downtown spaces. She is also a foodie and knows the best cuisine around riverside. A must.

  My family and I had recently taken an amazing trip with Dildora. It was a wonderful experience! We have learned so many interesting things. What strikes during the tour with Dildora is her passion for the city of Detroit!

  Dilora was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We were shocked to see how clean and vibrant downtown Detroit has become. The buildings and renovations are fantastic. Dilora was a little soft-spoken at hard to hear at times but overall very good.

  Great stop to be amazed by the tiled / decorated ceilings. If you have time do a tour that I believe run on Sundays

  Very interesting and insightful tour! Our guide Dildora was so passionate about the history of Detroit, and each piece of architecture she brought us was unique and beautiful. It was an amazing way to explore Detroit.

  Tour Guide was well informed and knowledgeable about the city. She was very personable and offered opportunities beyond the tour etc. restaurants, other sites, hotels. Highly recommend

  The “new Detroit” is amazing! This guided tour kept us saying over and over - who knew? Dildora Damisch, our guide, takes you into famed older buildings of the central city to show you what Detroit has become. Each building has a story of the past Detroit greatness and inside to the amazing new. We saw for ourselves a vibrant, friendly, safe city. We are very happy with our decision to take this tour.

  Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) Before moving to Detroit for the summer, I decided to take a tour of the city with my mom who had joined me for a few days to help me move in. This amazing tour from Dildora left us with THE BEST first impression of the city and really elevated our whole experience together in Detroit. Before the tour even started, Dildora welcomed us with a text message giving us information on where to park and where to meet her. It was obvious within the first few minutes of the Tour that Dildora really knows the city. She explained the rise and fall and rise again of Detroit with passion. Dildora also took the time to get to know the group in order to personalize the tour. As we walked around she pointed out specific buildings, restaurants, or activities that we would like. After the tour Dildora encouraged us to text her with any questions. Throughout the week I texted her with a few questions to which she would immediately reply with very detailed and genuine answers. I would highly recommend prioritizing a tour with Dildora as it will leave you with a great impression of Detroit. Mackenzie + Noemi
