This was a huge fiasco and we ended up missing our paid-for tour. Even though a refund was offered nothing has happened. Viator advertised this tour as a Perugia option. It also said that hotel pickup was included. After a series of emails with the 'tour operator', it turns out the olive tour was in Assisi, and they would not provide us transportation from our hotel in Perugia. All of this occurred a couple of days before the tour. The 'tour operator' offered no options and simply implied it was our problem to get to the tour. After offering a refund, we decided not to go, but never received a refund.

We had a simple but acceptable wine tasting tour -- but not an Olive Oil Tour! We're so disappointed. As for olives/olive oil: (1) we were shown one machine next to the wine barrels where olive oil is processed, (2) our guide informed us her family goes through one bottle of olive oil in about 3 days, and (3) olive oil was drizzled on our bruschetta. Other issues: (1) our tour voucher did not indicate pick-up location nor tour location; when we called to clarify, we learned the tour was in Montefalco, too far to travel ourselves. We arranged transportation for 50 Euros. In fact, the tour location was 3.4 km away! (2) the tour is advertised as 3 hours. In fact, even with the drive from our residence to the tour location, we left and returned within 2.5 hours. (3) but most importantly, this was a wine tour, not an olive oil tour. We have a separate advertised wine tour scheduled for this afternoon. Good points: the guide, the lunch, and the wines were very nice. BUT WE WANTED AN OLIVE OIL TOUR!

Small tour but great experience, we got to see how it is made and taste the wonderful wines and olive oil they produce!! The olive oil is great and our tour guide was so sweet and informative. We loved it a must see if in Assisi!

One of the highlights of our trip. We felt like we were visiting family. The wine was amazing and lunch was incredible. It was great to have an olive oil, wine and lunch excursion all rolled into one! Love to do it again!

Had a great tour learning how olive oil is made, followed by a first-rate lunch. We started at Malvarina, the family-owned agriturismo, where they grow the olives that are pressed into oil. Our hosts drove us over to the processing facility to learn how the oil is made - very interesting! We returned to Malvarina for an excellent lunch, with great, homemade food and spectacular views of the region. Our hosts were friendly and gracious. Highly recommend this tour! Many thanks for a wonderful memory.

The owner of the olive farm took us through the groves, to where the olives are pressed and processed and back to his trattoria for lunch. A very interesting tour..
