As darkness falls, and the witching hour creeps ever closer, join us for a spine tingling, late night, 80 minute walking tour of Edinburghs Old Town and underground. The often brutal past of Scotlands capital creates a wholly unique, grand but somewhat unsettling atmosphere which lends itself to evening ghost tours. Let one of our costumed guides, playing an infamous, historical character, lead you through the Old Towns winding closes, show you the notoriously haunted Greyfriars Kirkyard and reveal one of Edinburghs darkest secrets the underground vaults that snake beneath the city. Hear gory, but always entertaining and revealing, tales of ghosts, torture, executions, murder, cannibalism and witchcraft. The scares on this tour do not depend on jump scares or cheap tricks but good storytelling.

It was a very nice experience and the guide was very knowledgeable and a good Entertainer. All in all great experience. However, the guide was walking so extremely fast it was hard to keep up. Also he did NOT wear a top hat.

We had the 10:45 PM tour and it was great, small group of people and the guide was excellent, the underground vaults were a highlight to the tour. even though I had been to the Greyfriers cemetary before at night the guide had information not given on a previous tour, was well worth it !

The tour gathered at a convenient spot and departed more or less on time. Our Irish guide did an average job giving us some history about the various area as we passed by and gave ample opportunity for guests to ask questions. However for a tour that was billed as extreme paranormal underground there was nothing at all remotely spooky about the locations we visited. I chose to wait to do a later tour to ensure darkness but there were no attempts to spook the guests. I could have sat in a bar over a rink and gleaned the same information.
We were a party of 4 and all were disappointed.

Our guide, Dr. Knox was full of historic tales and horrific tales! Learned a lot about the history of Edinburgh
