This trip doesn’t resemble anything near what is advertised. Most of the day is spent on the coach getting from one place to another.Picked up at 08.40 and dropped of at 17.00 you have minimal time at the three locations,as for the statement eat and drink your way from village to village it’s a farce,it’s just minimal samples.Total waist of money I would not recommend

We were picked up for our tour at 8.50am. The morning was quite interesting, we stopped at a 'plantation' where we sampled grapes, oranges and fresh lemonade. We went from here to Agros, where we visited three shops/factories. There were samples available at each. We then went to a taverna in Pelendri for lunch. This was very good. It was a mini Meze with dips, halloumi, a scrambled egg dish, chicken, pork kebabs, chips and fresh peaches for dessert. A glass of wine was included. We then went on to the winery. This was what I had been looking forward to. But, we had five different mouthfuls of wine and then left after about 30 mins. The information given describing the tour says 'And the afternoon is spent tasting Cypriot wine in the local winery as you take in the view over the valley.' This definitely gives the impression that more than 30 mins will be spent here. It was very disappointing. We then had a 1hr 45min journey back to Paphos, arriving back at 4.30pm. Not the 8hr tour described. This tour is definitely not as good as other food tours that are operating elsewhere. Only go if you are not really bothered about the wine tasting. If you are, book a proper wine tasting tour.

I went on the tour in September 2019. I will outline the excursion's high and low points below. - fruit orchard, this was good, you go to an orchard and have a plastic cup of lemonade. Then you have 20 minutes to walk around and look at the fruit trees. - rosewater production, this was ok. it's a small shop with a distilling machine. The girl there gave a 5-10 minute take about how it's produced. We were given a 10-15ml sample of wine and a 5-10ml sample of a shot. These samples were the ones any shop gives you. It was a nice location and a cute little shop/factory. - the sweet factory is a small building (maybe 1200 sq ft). we walked through the corridor where 4 or 5 workers were cutting tomatoes and saw the machines through some glass windows in the corridor. There was no demonstration, just a 5-minute talk from the excursion guide. We do not learn anything of interest. After we were walked up to the shop. The shop (as all shops do) has a bowl of samples. You could not really dig in because they were literally the shop's free samples. - local smoked meat products, you are driven 2 minutes up the road to another tiny shop. The samples were exactly that, another customer samples bowl. The only smoked sausage we saw other than the samples were a couple of hams and sausages hanging in the back of shops counter. Here we were given a 5-10 ml sample of red wine and a 20ml shot of grape spirit. - Lunch, lunch was good. it's a small restaurant you get a salad, olives, dips (tzatziki and sesame paste) , pork souvlaki and chicken with chips. All are bowls that 6-8 of you share per a table. There was enough food to have a decent lunch. Plus a small glass of local house wine. - Vinyard. I thought after the shops we would now get some wine tasting and the core of the excursion. We got to the Vinyard. we were literally there 35 minutes tops. A small (5 minute) talk about the old way of production. No demonstration and about 5 instruments shown. Then we went upstairs and had 4 50ml samples of wine/sprits; 2 white wines and 2 grape sprits. The girl who works at the Vinyard gave a small explanation of each one. Then we had 5 minutes to look down on the grapevines (only from a distance) before we were packed back onto the minibus and driven back. All in all, it was nice to be driven into the mountains (takes about 80 minutes). however, the only taste of Cyprus we had was the free samples the shops had which are for any customer who walks in and a 15 euro (maximum) lunch. We were disappointed that at the vineyard we didn't even have a chance to have a real glass of wine and take in the soundings. This is not a 70 Euro excursion. The excursion guide was good (and a local) who has good knowledge of the area and gave good information during the drive there and back. However, you are paying for a minibus ride and a brief walk around a couple of shops and factories (by factory they mean small family business) in the mounties. We leave Paphos around 09:30 once all gues were picked up and return at approx 16:00, about 3 hours or so of the time was driving.
