  • This bus trip was well worth it. The bus ride through the Italian countryside was awesome. The tour guide on the bus was pleasant and informative. The tour guide in Florence was knowledgeable and got us into the Academia Museum quick and there were not a lot of people. The walking tour of Florence was informative and pleasant. The lunch we had was perfect and was at a small family owned restaurant. We do have one issue we stay at ABNB's when we travel, we like having bigger accommodations with full kitchens. We paid for being picked up and being dropped off. When we tried to arrange this, the tour operator said they only went to hotels. We were under the impression that they picked up and dropped off at larger hotels. We had to find our way to the tour operators office in the morning. Then they dropped us off at a Metro station, 4 stopped from Cipro. instead of somewhere close to the flat we were renting. Our flat was close to the Vatican by the Metro station Cipro. 3 Other guests were dropped off prior to us being dropped off at the Metro. What annoyed us was the 3 people being dropped off were at small hotels located in more remote locations then where we were staying. When it came to the drop off we felt like second class guests. We paid for a service we did not receive and were treated as if it was a burden to drop us off.

  • The tour agency picked us up from our hotel very early 6.30 AM and we didn't get a chance to eat breakfast and while the tour bus was extremely clean, their policy didn't allow us to eat anything on their bus while in transit from Rome to Florence. While I understand that this reduces the need to clean the bus regularly, it was a big inconvenience since we were starving between 6.30 and 11 AM when we finally arrived in Florence, got off the bus and had a chance to eat.

  • Excelent tour, very knowlege lady tourist guide Silvia!!, she was awesome.

  • Silva was such a great guide. Even though it was raining most part of our tour, we had a good time in Florence.

  • Great trip!

  • A good introduction to Florence.

  • Good tour of museum. The bus ride was really longI think it would have been better if you were on a high speed train. Not much time for shopping.

  • I am only giving this one star because I have to, zero does not seem to be an option. For starters, the trip to Florence took much longer than they said. We left Rome at 7:30 and we did not get to the museum housing the David until shortly before noon and entered the museum around 12:15. We got to see the David which was fantastic and the guide for the museum and the Duomo, which we saw after was fine. But the David and the Duomo was all that we got to see. Lunch was out an out of the way location and was fine enough but nothing special and it seemed its biggest selling point was they must have a good deal with the tour operators. After lunch we were supposed to see some leather working demonstration and it was nothing more than a sales pitch. In fact, it seems to us that the purpose of this trip was to deliver us like lambs to tourist traps. Then another long trip back to Rome. The David and Duomo are must sees, but do them another way.

  • This was very disappointing. I have been on many different tours in Italy in the past however, this was my first time with Green Line Tours. There are several different issues that caused me to only rate this activity with one star. First was the guide, Marina was very rude at the beginning. Second was that we spent almost four hours in transit each way, which did not leave much time to really spend time in Florence. Last was that a portion of this tour is spent watching how leather bags and jewelry is manufactured a total waste of time because Green Line Tours and this place must have some sort of agreement about a commission of what we spend at this store.
I suggest that anyone interested in a day trip to Florence choose another business like City Tours, and one that gets you to the site via train, so that you are able to spend more time there and really enjoy the whole experience.

  • Sorry, but this was the worst part of our trip to Rome. We had a small cramped but with others who didn't speak English . Our guide Marina, talked incessantly the WHOLE trip, most of which we didn't understand. we were herded from place to place and not given enough time to enjoy the Academia. They guide would just say, this is not Michelangelo so lets move on. We did get to see the David and then were led on to the Duomo. After seeing this we had a pre-ordered lunch but had to pay for our drinks. We were then led to an 18K gold shop to tour. Several asked what time to meet for our 3 hours trip back but the guide refused to tell us unless we toured the shop. My daughter and I then decided to leave the group , walked to the train station and rode IN COMFORT, for 1 1/2 hours only, back to Rome. This was on the Green line tours and we won't make that mistake again. ruined our Florence experience.
