Great to get photos before the crowds. The changing colour of the Duomo inside on opening gives a whole new dimension of the cathedral.

Absolutely amazing! Must do! Tour guide was so knowledgeable and it was incredible being there with no other tourists. Included a delicious stop for coffee and a pastry as breakfast. 10/10

We did wake up Duomo with six in our group. I was very torn about whether I would recommend this tour having done it now. I think "maybe"-had I better understood what it entailed. i don't think the description was very good. First, the instructions say you have to have shoulders covered and no shorts. Our tour guide's shoulders were uncovered and several others had shorts/tank tops on. Would've been nice to know that wasn't really a requirement because we were all in much more uncomfortable long skirts/pants than apparently necessary. Second, while getting to go into the Duomo before anyone else was lovely, we didn't actually climb at that time. After "waking" the Duomo, you go for a quick coffee/pastry breakfast, then "wake" the Baptistry (which wasn't very interesting). THEN you go back to the Duomo to start the climb. By then, all the regular entry people are also climbing to the top of Duomo so that was a bummer. Also, our tour guide didn't speak English very well at all and was way too detailed in her narrations so it was much longer than we anticipate and very hard to follow. Also, unless they stopped at "private terrace" on the way down (we had ditched the tour by then due to time constraints), there wasn't a private terrace portion All in all, they need to tighten it up. Could be amazing if these issues got corrected.

The overall tour was good, and I do recommend the entire Duomo skywalk and the option to “awaken” the church, but we did have some trouble understanding our tour guide. She was knowledgeable and passionate, but a little quiet, which slightly reinforced the language barrier.

Our tour guide had 2 masters degrees and was very knowledgeable about the Duomo and its history. The climb to the top left us breathless, but the view was breathtaking! Breakfast at the patisserie across from the Duomo was delicious with pastries and coffee. Our guide was very patient in answering all the questions and very passionate about the Duomo. This is a must-do tour!

10/10 - this was honestly the best tour I’ve done in the world. Going in the early morning is the only imaginable way now.

Amazing climb to the top to see Florence during the still early morning hours. Beat the heat and the crowds to enjoy the breathtaking views and history.

What an amazing experience! Sara did a wonderful job of explaining the city of Florence and the history of the Cathedral. The climb to the top of the Duomo was steep and windy but worth it if you are able to climb steps. The view at the top was breathtaking!

This is absolutely the ONLY way to experience the Duomo! The package featured opening of the Duomo, where just our group of 8 could go into the cathedral the moment it is opened, experience the quiet, the beauty, and the architecture with just the voice of our guide in our ears. We got to climb the to the top of the Duomo where we could be entirely by ourselves before the first group of climbers arrive. We got the best coffee and pastry just when we needed it, and an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide to help enrich our experience. Must do! In addition, the ticket gives us access to the Museo d' Opera dell Duomo, which is also a must see to get up close to all the original sculptures, and to the Baptistery.

Great tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us information that was very easy to digest. The Skywalk provided a beautiful view of Florence that we would have otherwise missed. We got right in to the Duomo and had a great experience.
