Know More about this tour

Enjoy a 2.5 hour engaging walking tour for families and kids through the streets and squares of Florence with an expert guide who will explain you the history of the city and show you the wonders of the Renaissance in a journey through the key masterpieces of the Florentine architecture.

You will meet in Piazza Santa Croce where the church containing Michelangelo's tomb is located. You will be exploring the city center, stop on the Ponte Vecchio bridge, feast your eyes on the heart-stopping view over the hills that circle Florence. Then you will walk by the Town hall and the spectacular Loggia in Piazza della Signoria; this is the  political heart of Florence. On one side, you will enjoy the renowned Uffizi Gallery, once the Great Duke’s headquarters, then admire Palazzo Vecchio, the historic seat of the Florentine Government.

The tour continues to the old market where you will play with good luck Porcellino. You will see Piazza della Repubblica and visit the magnificent Cathedral; the church features perfectly preserved, unique marble engravings, and the Brunelleschi’s Dome above all, a miracle of architecture, symbol of the Renaissance movement in Florence due its daring design and even more challenging realization.

The walking tour ends at San Lorenzo Market, where you can have lunch or enjoy the colorful stalls. It is strongly suggested to take this tour on the first day of your stay in Florence and not to take any other tour the same day. Kids get easily tired and so do parents sometimes after such this rich and comprehensive experience. The whole family will love it.

  • Martina was a wonderful guide. She kept our three kids, ages 10,9, and 6, engaged and interested for 2 hours. We saw all the major sites and more importantly learned something interesting about each one. Highly recommend Martina!

  • We absolutely loved it! We did a private family tour and Giovanna was our guide. She was fantastic. Both kids age 7 and 12 were fully engaged even though our little one wasn't feeling well, she still wanted to complete her games with Giovanna. It was an easy walking tour, even in 100 degree weather. The adults even learned a lot about the history of Florence, which has so much history and incredible beauty. Giovanna texted the day before the tour to touch base, which was helpful in connecting at our meeting place the following day. The tour was a highlight of our week in Tuscany. Thank you!

  • Emilia, our guide, was very knowledgable, friendly and fun. Our kids really liked her as well. We all learned a lot and Emilia had so much more to teach. She is one of the best guides we had. I would highly recommend her. Thank you for everything, Emilia! Love from Toronto.

  • Our tour guide, Vanessa, was very knowledgeable and interesting. It was difficult to keep the kids together so many people but we rallied around them and kept them focussed.

  • Great tour for family with kids on 24/7/17
My three children age between 5 to 10 enjoyed the tour very much
    Highly recommended

  • The tour guide Martina was wonderful with kids. She kept my kids aged 8,11 years old, fully engaged and occupied. It was lovely to have her explain to us about the main attractions and take us around. She was a star. Do ask for her if u choose this tour.

  • Super fun tour. Giovanna was amazing.
    She kept my kids entertained.
    We had a great time

  • Our guide Giovanna was Fantastic! Our kids loved the games and challenges she set up for them. Great way for families to walk around the city and learn things in a fun way. Giovanna deserves 10/10 undoubtedly!

  • Marco, our guide, was perfect. He tailored his tour to the kids and also the adults. We saw things in Rome we would have otherwise never seen, things easily overlooked in the hustle of getting from one place to another. After almost a week of vacation, the kids enjoyed listening to someone else other than their parents. Marco had treat, prizes, and competitions that kept them going from the beginning to the very end of the tour. I highly recommend as a tour where both kids and parents will enjoy their time.

  • Michaela was an excellent guide. We learned new things on this tour even though we took a part asking your earlier in the week. Did a nice job with kids (5 and 7). Took a detour to grab gelato at recommended place. Kids enjoyed the games and prizes! Thank you!
