In between the food visits we learned so much more about architecture and history of Palma. Janine was very knowledgable and the food experiences were so authentic, I would never have known to go to these places myself, thoroughly enjoyed it 😊

We took this tour on a busy Friday in September. Our tour guide, JEanine, was superb - fantastic knowledge of the city and it's history, but also careful to keep the group together amongst the unexpectedly busy streets (probably due to 2 cruise ships in the port!). There were three food stops - the first at the fantastic food market (a very tasty bowl of typical tapas and a glass of wine). The second was at a beautiful shop to taste local ham, cheese and a few shots of the local liqueurs to wash it all down. Finally a visit to a place specialising in the famous Mallorcan pastry (ensaïmada) and ice cream - delicious. A lovely way to spend three hours and good value too.

covid hit our guide, so tour was cancelled, unfortunately this wasn’t communicated before we reached the meeting point

This was not a good tour. We walked by bakeries, butchers, produce shops and didn’t go inside. No tastings except for horrid tapa in the market. I asked & was not told what the tapas contained. I ate organ meats that I detest. Lasted only 2 hours. Spent more time in a church than food venues. So disappointing!

We had our food tour in July 2021. Jeanine was our host and she was lovely and knowledgeable about the history and monuments in Palma. It was just my husband and I, so it was intimate and we had the tour all to ourselves. It was a three hour tour through the city of Palma. We stopped for wine, tapas, liquor, cheese, meets, ensaymadas, and some amazing almond ice cream. The almond ice cream was so delicious that we asked for seconds! I strongly recommend doing a food tour to learn about the island, learn about authentic Mallorcan food and ingredients, and to help the community get back on their feet after COVID. Thank you so much, Jeanine!!!

Great afternoon learning about the architecture of Palma and the rich heritage that goes into making its gastronomy so unique and delicious! It was our first tour since the pandemic. Though we were all vaccinated, our safety was the number one priority for our guide, Jeanine. Jeanine did a great job and it was great to see her so excited to be out doing what she loves again. The food, the wine, everything was incredible and Jeanine went out of her way to ensure that everything was perfect, including hooking up our two year old with some extra treats! Though we had some nice stops along the way, we came away wishing we had made one or two more to make it an even better value.

My husband and I did the food tasting walking tour in Palma when we were in Mallorca and it was excellent. Our english speaking guide was very informative and friendly with us. We enjoyed all the food we tried and we learned a lot about the history and the culture of Mallorca. The tour was a great value for money.

This was a very nice different way to discover the wonderful city of Palma. The tour was well organized and the places to taste local food and drink were interesting and great. What made it special was that our guide Jeannine was friendly and expert and overall took care to make sure we had such a great time. If we had been on our own we probably either would not have found some of the places. Definitely recommend it!

Tour Operator changed date and time of tour and then tour guide came at original time and tour operator told us "not to worry" that we were waiting around. (Tour operator was rude and I should have cancelled.) The tour stopped at two bakeries and the market and two shops with the general public tasting the foods on display. At the market tour guide had to struggle to find a tapas venue that could make room for our group of five. (Other food tours we have done, the operator has reserved space in advance.) Not surprisingly the tapas at available bar were not good. Tour guide purchased one tapa of her choice for each guest to share and one beverage each. We were allowed one pastry at a cost of two euros after lunch and there was a possibility to buy a pie at the first bakery. I estimate the guide spent about 15 Euros per person and the tour cost 75 Euros per person. Tour guide tried hard but was not given the tools to be successful by No Frills. Tour guide did purchase 10 Euros of tapas from a wonderful fish venue in the market for my daughter and I as we would not eat the tapas bar food due to poor quality--we appreciated it.
