Bob was friendly and knowledgeable and so much fun. We enjoyed everything start to finish. Only regret is not having bigger stomachs:)

We really enjoyed Bob and his personality!!! He is extremely versed in the history of the area and the food that it has to offer. We had a fantastic time Thank you so much!

My favorite part was the fact that it was only my husband I. We had a better time it just being us. If there were more people we wouldn't have gotten to know Bob. And he is amazing, humorous and knowledgeable

Bob was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the market and Vancouver in general. The food tastings on the tour were fantastic. Our favorites were the toast and jams and the soups! We wish we had gone over to to the market earlier before the tour to check out the artisan stalls ahead of time since they close at 6pm so we will have to try that out next time!

Bob was a great guide. He is very knowledgeable, engaging and a fine ambassador for the City of Vancouver.

Bob is a wonderful guide! Personable, charismatic, very knowledgeable! We were in Granville Island twice this week before we took his tour and everything he shared with us was new information! A must do experience!

I had a great tour with Bob! I was the only person who signed up, so I got a VIP tour experience. We toured around the Granville Public Market, trying some delicious food samples…a variety of preserves and toast, chai tea, macarons, charcuterie board, chocolate, famous Lee’s donuts. We visited some shops on the island and ended with some sake tasting (not included in the price of the tour). Bob is very friendly and knowledgeable and I would recommend this tour. Thank you Bob!

I did not like this tour at all. Our guide Bob was rude and a bully to both the people in our group and the vendors he interacted with. He continuously tried to force people to eat the food samples he offered even when they repeatedly declined another serving. Several of the stops along the tour were “free” samples that vendors provided in order to attract customers. He took advantage of these free samples and used them as one of his stops for the group. In particular the pickle vendors were very upset and loudly told him that he needed to make purchases not just take samples all the time. He told them he did once a week and they said you absolutely don’t buy anything ever. He then encouraged us to go up to them and get even more free samples. We felt bad because the vendor felt so cheated and went and bought a few items. Bob just kept saying that was their job to give him as much free stuff as he wanted. It was tacky and uncomfortable. Many of the “stops” where to tell us how great the food was at this place but we weren’t going to eat there. Huh? After the tour we went to a restaurant and had dinner. Terrible experience.

Our guide was very knowledgeable of the market and Vancouver in general. He was friendly and easy got talk to. He shared many interesting facts about the market. When the tour ended he gave us excellent suggestions on where else to visit during our visit.

The food tastings were nearly all sweets: jams, sweet chai tea, candied salmon, macron, nainamo bar, chocolate, glazed donut. We did enjoy the charcuterie and bread. The two hour tour finishes when the market closes....why not start earlier?
